Seeing Chen Zhezhe step out of the teacher's office, Qin Xin hurried over. "How did it go? How did it go?"
"Who knows!" Chen Zhezhe gave a bitter smile and spread his hands.
Teacher Zhang Qing ultimately hadn't managed to get any straight answers out of him, so she decided to go question the other students herself.
Truth be told, even though Chen Zhezhe was in the wrong today, he hadn't committed any major infractions. But when it came to certain matters, reasoning was useless.
He had heard that Wang Dong had good connections with the head of the department and was some sort of distant junior to the vice president. Even though Teacher Zhang Ying had been furious with Chen Zhezhe just moments ago and ended up with flushed cheeks telling him to get lost, Chen Zhezhe knew that Teacher Zhang was actually quite good to her students.
She would probably stand on his side, but as a newly arrived teacher, her voice carried limited weight. He figured he was probably finished.
At worst, getting slapped with a disciplinary demerit was a real possibility.
It wasn't that he cared all that much about attending this university, but Chen Zhezhe's tuition was paid for by his older sister. She had given up going to university herself to work, all so she could ensure Chen Zhezhe finished his studies smoothly. If he ended up with some sort of disciplinary record over this, he would feel terribly guilty toward his sister.
Back in the classroom, the students crowded around and applauded to show their support for Chen Zhezhe.
Students were always full of hot blood!
Everyone genuinely enjoyed listening to Teacher Wang Dong shoot the breeze, but from the bottom of their hearts, they agreed with Chen Zhezhe's final remark.
Most people hoped he wouldn't actually run into any serious trouble.
Many were trying to comfort him. Class monitor Liu Wen, who wasn't usually on very familiar terms with Chen Zhezhe, clenched her fists and said, "If Teacher Wang Dong tries to take disciplinary action against you, we'll go make a scene at the school administration. I refuse to believe—"
"Haha, it's fine. Class is almost over, let's go get something to eat~"
Chen Zhezhe turned the tables and comforted the others instead. Once you pushed past your inhibitions, things weren't all that terrifying anymore.
He wanted to head to the cafeteria now before the other classes let out for noon; otherwise, it would be too hard to get food once the crowds arrived.
Unfortunately, college students rarely followed the school's schedule in an orderly fashion. By the time he reached the second floor of the cafeteria, there were already quite a few students inside.
From far away, he saw a group of students gathered in a circle, as if there was some excitement to watch.
Oh?
Chen Zhezhe had already taken his first steps into the path of cultivation, and his eyesight far surpassed that of an ordinary person. Even from a distance, he spotted an acquaintance.
"Isn't that Zhang Zhi? Turns out that punch of mine didn't do him much damage after all!"
Qin Xin chimed in with unsparing sarcasm, "Duh! You only just learned how to circulate your inner breath, and that punch used less than half its power. You weren't aiming for a vital spot either, so at most it would just knock him out."
Realizing there was a show to watch, Qin Xin said impatiently, "Hurry up, hurry up, looks like fun..."
With that, she grabbed Chen Zhezhe's clothes and pushed forward. Being a delicate little girl, people instinctively stepped aside, making it very easy for her and Chen Zhezhe to squeeze through.
Zhang Zhi's face was swollen to the size of a pig's head, several front teeth were missing, and he still had gauze plastered across his face.
It looked like that punch hadn't been light, but now Zhang Zhi seemed to have completely recovered his old bullying demeanor. Disregarding his battered image, he was currently harassing a female student.
"Well, well?" Zhang Zhi took a few lateral steps, blocking a girl's path.
The girl looked panicked and took a few steps to the left, but Zhang Zhi chuckled and shifted his steps as well, blocking her path again.
Seeing this girl looking so worried and frightened she was about to cry, Zhang Zhi felt immensely proud, recapturing the imposing, tyrannical thrill he used to feel.
He mumbled incoherently, "Give me a kiss and call me hubby, and I'll let you go!"
Zhang Zhi hadn't seen Chen Zhezhe. He had gone to the hospital to get treated; even though that punch had been heavy and caused a slight bone fracture, it didn't require hospitalization. Eating in the cafeteria had been quite difficult because moving his mouth caused a piercing pain, and just then, a girl had glanced at him, making him feel as though she was mocking him.
That was how the current scene had come about.
"I... I..." Tears were already swirling in the girl's eyes, on the verge of falling. "Please let me pass, I'm begging you..."
"Isn't that guy's name Zhang Zhi? Why is she calling him hubby too?" Qin Xin asked Chen Zhezhe, confused.
"Ah... Haha, well... uh... What was I saying again? Oh? That girl is really pretty! Not a bit worse than you!" Chen Zhezhe laughed it off, not daring to tell Qin Xin the truth.
Beauties were all too easily drawn to other beauties, and Qin Xin looked the girl over with curious eyes.
The girl standing before Zhang Zhi was dressed plainly. Her faded, striped shirt was washed spotlessly clean, she wore a pair of washed-out white jeans, and she had on old sneakers with patches on them. Her hair was simply tied into a ponytail with a hair tie. She was dressed even more simply than Chen Zhezhe, and judging by her appearance, her family background probably wasn't very good.
Some women were simply blessed with natural beauty; they didn't need to rely on dressing up to catch people's eyes.
This girl naturally carried a fragile, pitiful charm, which was only heightened by her fair skin. Furthermore, her physical development was clearly a few tiers ahead of her age, making her far more upright and full-figured than girls her own age.
What was that phrase—baby face with a giant... something? It reminded Chen Zhezhe of the nurse at the campus clinic; both of them had equally scorching figures, yet their temperaments each possessed their own distinct appeal.
Watching a tear finally slip from the girl's eye, she choked out through her sobs, "I..."
"Otherwise, let me touch you a few times and that'll do!" Zhang Zhi let out a lewd laugh, grinning as he reached his hand toward the girl's chest—The girl screamed and dodged backward, bumping into someone behind her.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to bump into you..."
Chen Zhezhe swiftly stepped forward to shield the young woman behind him. He felt just like a grandmaster of martial arts, like Wong Fei-hung or Huo Yuanjia, rushing to help someone in distress and drawing his sword against injustice. It turned out that being a hero felt this amazing—especially when helping a beautiful woman. That feeling...
Just thinking about playing the hero to save a damsel in distress, and having the beauty fall head over heels for him in gratitude, was beyond words.
With this thought, an expression totally unbefitting of a hero appeared on Chen Zhezhe's face.
"You... what do you want?"
Seeing Chen Zhezhe, Zhang Zhi took a step back, remembering the shock that today's punch had brought him. Was that even human? That was simply a monster!
In that punch from Chen Zhezhe, apart from carrying the power of his cultivation, the sheer intimidating aura of his left hand had played a major part.
It wasn't as if Zhang Zhi had never been beaten up before, but the look in Chen Zhezhe's eyes and the overwhelming presence he exuded when he struck him today made Zhang Zhi shudder all over just thinking about it.
He felt as though he had fallen naked into an ice cellar.
A profound sense of fear.
Chen Zhezhe clenched his fist with a grin. "I remember you saying yesterday that you'd beat me every time you saw me. Now I'm thinking of doing just that to you. Besides, since I'm probably going to get a disciplinary warning anyway, I might as well find someone to beat up."
Coincidentally, he had some pent-up frustration inside, and taking it out on someone by beating them up was good for his health. Beating up an innocent person would weigh on his conscience, but beating up Zhang Zhi came with zero psychological burden.
Having treated fighting as a daily routine since childhood, Zhang Zhi had been thoroughly terrified by Chen Zhezhe's punch. He had abandoned all pride; if he were to be sent flying by another punch right here, it would be even more humiliating.
Zhang Zhi hurriedly forced a smile. "I... I was probably just talking bullshit yesterday. Sir, you're a magnanimous man, please don't hold it against me."
All the onlookers were utterly astonished. Zhang Zhi was practically a campus bully, yet he was this terrified of the person standing right in front of him?
A buzz of discussion broke out among the crowd. Several people who had watched the commotion yesterday watched with growing curiosity as Chen Zhezhe, who had been bullied yesterday, turned the tables and struck such fear into Zhang Zhi today.
Bathed in the astonished and admiring gazes of the crowd, Chen Zhezhe's vanity as a hero was immensely satisfied.
"How about this? Since you like talking bullshit so much, I'll give you a choice: either I beat you up right now, or you squeeze out a fart for me on the spot, and I'll let you go!"
Chen Zhezhe replied with a smug look, wanting to give Zhang Zhi a taste of being bullied. Without a doubt, that was the fairest treatment for him.
Zhang Zhi's expression instantly turned immensely comical. With a tearful, ambiguous grimace, he stammered, "But... but I don't feel the urge right now. Can you please choose something else?"
"Squeeze one out even if you have none, it's good exercise for the body. Hold a fart in and you'll strain your heart! I'm doing this for your own good—hurry up and let it rip!"
Seeing Zhang Zhi hesitate, Chen Zhezhe waved his hand, causing Zhang Zhi to shudder violently.
He was genuinely terrified of Chen Zhezhe's fists. Seeing that Chen Zhezhe was about to strike, he immediately concentrated all his strength on his backside, his face turning beet red. He could only pray to the heavens to grant him a fart to save his life.
There was a popular local rhyme about life's four worst miseries: tearing the toilet paper while wiping your bottom, shitting your pants while farting, getting robbed the moment you step outside, and wetting your shoes while pissing!
Zhang Zhi had eaten a hearty dinner last night and a big breakfast this morning, and he hadn't found time to visit the restroom yet. So after exerting every ounce of his strength,
*Puff~*
He achieved the second of life's four miseries!
Zhang Zhi's expression instantly became indescribably dramatic, and Chen Zhezhe was startled as well. He had simply found Zhang Zhi too detestable and just wanted to give him a hard time; he hadn't actually planned to beat him up. Who would have thought that Zhang Zhi was so terrified of him that he would genuinely try his hardest to fart?
As a result, comrade Zhang Zhi had gloriously shat his pants—
Holy crap!
Zhang Zhi was practically on the verge of tears. Pulling up his pants, he turned around and bolted away at top speed. Chen Zhezhe didn't stop him, nor did he dare to.
All the students immediately scattered far away.
Having been humiliated to this extent by Chen Zhezhe, he probably wouldn't have the face to show himself around Jiangcheng University anymore.
Finding a restroom, Zhang Zhi cleaned himself up a bit, then pulled out his phone, rapidly tapped a few buttons to bring up a contact, and dialed.
When the call connected, Zhang Zhi said respectfully, "Brother Hu... I've got some trouble here at Jiangcheng University, and I might need to trouble you with a favor..."
Chen Zhezhe knew nothing of these developments; he was currently receiving the gratitude of the beauty.
To be fair, this young woman possessed the looks of a super beauty, and her personality was gentle and timid. She spoke in a soft, delicate voice and was the epitome of femininity, making her a pleasure to listen to.
A single sentence from her could melt a man's bones.
"Thank you. Thanks to you... otherwise..."
With a flushed face, the girl lowered her head, not daring to look at Chen Zhezhe. Just as Chen Zhezhe was basking in the treatment a hero deserved, another girl came running over, panting heavily.
Seeing Chen Zhezhe standing in front of the girl, the newcomer demanded, "Rongrong? Is this the bastard who bullied you?"
Before anyone could reply, the rushing girl raised her right leg high into the air and brought it crashing down fiercely.
It was actually a downward axe kick!
