Chapter 110: Meeting an Old Friend
Su Jiuyue did not have the patience to sit still in her seat. Instead, she stood up alongside Gu Qiu, mainly because she felt she could not squander any chance to stick close to him; staying right by his side gave her that reassuring sense of security.
She was much like a young girl experiencing love for the first time—watching her beloved's retreating back, then glancing at the strangers around her, she constantly felt that if she wasn't careful for even a second, someone else would snatch him away.
It seemed as though, right from the very beginning, she could never bear to be apart from Gu Qiu.
"Then go see what you want to eat yourself. I'm afraid if I pick things you don't like, it'll just go to waste."
Gu Qiu said as they walked, squatting down to grab a plate. He stood back up, handed a few plates to her, and then took two small bowls, conveniently mixing up some sesame oil dipping sauce and the like.
"I don't know how strict they are about checking for leftovers here. I'd hate to get fined if there's too much left over..."
"You can only break even here if you eat things like seafood and fatty beef. I prefer crabs and lobsters—let's go see if they have any. Don't take too many desserts; those things aren't worth much."
