The harsh white light gradually faded. When Qiyue's vision began to function again, the first thing that came into view was a pale golden sky. There was no sun, but the entire vault of heaven emitted a soft, uniform glow, as though illuminated from behind by some invisible light source. He blinked and found that Jian's hand was still tightly holding his, her touch real and warm.
"Did we... succeed?" Jian's voice carried a hint of uncertainty. She looked around, the W-Infinity Symbol in her gray eyes flickering slightly. "Is this the Ultimate Reality?"
Qiyue looked down at his chest. The W-Infinity Engine Model was still there, but instead of being embedded in his body, it was pinned to his clothing like an exquisite brooch, emitting a pulse even softer than before. When he tried to activate his quantum vision, he didn't see data streams, but tiny, pollen-like specks of light floating in the air.
