Jane squinted, experiencing the reality of warmth for the first time—not the simulated heat of data, but a tactile sensation carrying the crisp scent of grass and the moisture of a gentle breeze. Her right eye no longer hurt, but her field of vision was indeed much dimmer. Reaching out to touch it, she found no longer a crystal, but an ordinary human eyelid. "It's gone?"
