Leitao stood by the pond in the church courtyard, his heart brimming with excitement and deep emotion. The discovery he had just made in the mysterious underground armory felt like a glimpse of the dawn of victory in the war against Japan. The mountains of weaponry, equipment, and supplies were like a treasure trove of hope, injecting powerful momentum into the resistance against the Japanese Army. He took a deep breath, steadying his emotions. Leitao knew that this secret must never be easily exposed, or the consequences would be unimaginable. He turned his gaze once more toward the model pavilion atop the rockery in the middle of the pond; that tiny model now seemed to carry the weight of a thousand pounds. Leitao slowly reached out and twisted the model according to the method he had used before. With a faint sound, the entrance to the underground armory began to close slowly. He watched intently as the opening vanished from his line of sight, his heart filled with a mixture of anxiety and caution. His anxiety stemmed from the fact that the vast cache of weapons and supplies hidden within was a precious asset for fighting the Japanese Army, while his caution came from the realization that in these perilous times, any oversight could lead to catastrophe.
