The remaining guards, seeing this, launched even more ferocious attacks. Leitao moved with ghost-like agility, dodging bayonets that lunged at him from every direction while keenly scanning for gaps in their defense. Spotting an opening between two guards, he lunged forward like an arrow released from a bow. He parried one guard’s bayonet with his own, then kicked the other to the ground in one fluid motion.
Before he could regain his stance, Ando Yamano came charging in, swinging his gleaming officer’s saber with murderous intent. Leitao hurriedly raised his bayonet to block. With a loud "clang" and a shower of sparks, the immense impact made his arm go numb. Yet, Leitao did not retreat; instead, he used the force of Ando Yamano's strike to lean back, lifting his leg to kick Ando Yamano firmly in the abdomen. Ando Yamano let out a muffled grunt and stumbled back several paces. Seizing the moment, Leitao whipped his bayonet toward one of the guards. The blade pierced the man’s chest, pinning him firmly to the wall.
Now, only three guards and Ando Yamano remained in the room. Ando Yamano steadied himself, eyes burning with hatred as he hissed at his remaining men, "All of you, attack! Kill him!" The three guards fanned out, forming a triangle—one left, one right, and one in front—charging at Leitao with their Type 38 rifles leveled. Ando Yamano followed close behind with his saber, waiting for the perfect moment to land a lethal blow.
