The second skeleton had a dark reddish hue to it. Looking closer still, one would realize that this dark red was neither bloodstains nor tooth marks from rats, but rather characters.
Tiny characters written in cinnabar, smaller even than the print in a newspaper. If you didn't look closely, you wouldn't be able to make them out at all.
