Yaojiu twitched its neck, eyes gleaming with playfulness. Its snowy-white orbs stared down Lügu with disdain. "What is it? Are you hiding something, or is there something here that I, your Lord, shouldn't see?"
Though phrased as a question, Yaojiu delivered it with such arrogance that it sounded more like, "This place is under my jurisdiction; everyone else is to kneel." *If it weren't for the sake of checking things out, I wouldn't have come even if you begged me. What a load of rubbish!*
Lügu lowered its head and smiled. "I wouldn't dare. The Nine-Tailed Spirit-Absorbing Cat clan is noble; how could I ever presume to offend you?"
