He let out a confused "huh", but still let "Kakazu" inside.
"Why are you back? Where is the person the boss wanted?"
"Taken care of. I locked them away in a safe place."
Flipping through the bounty book, "Kakazu" said, "I figured I might as well slaughter a few more while heading to the drop-off. Got any high-value targets lately?"
The bald man rolled his eyes in secret. Kakazu really had money on the brain; he didn't even drop off a job without picking up a new one on the side.
He grabbed the bounty book, flipped to a page, and rattled off an address.
"The place where this target is located is just one street over from your handover spot. Take him."
"Kakazu" let out a sound of dissatisfaction. "Only a million ryo? Fine, better than nothing."
Without another word, he turned and left the bounty station.
Behind him, however, the bald man stared fixedly at his retreating figure.
For some reason, he always felt that today's Kakazu was a bit different.
While he was still pondering, "Kakazu" slammed the door shut with a loud bang and vanished around the street corner.
