When Naruto's Shadow Clone learned that the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path had been summoned away, the very first person that came to his mind was Uchiha Madara. Yet, what Naruto could not figure out was how Uchiha Madara had managed to break free from his Reanimated state, nor how he had obtained the Rinnegan capable of summoning the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
One had to remember that Uchiha Madara's original pair of Rinnegan had been with Nagato all along. Given this premise, if Madara wished to continue with the Eye of the Moon Plan, he would have to find another way and successfully secure a pair of Rinnegan to use as replacements.
In the current Shinobi World, such a feat was obviously not something that could be accomplished easily.
