In the original story, Anko stayed with Orochimaru for many years, yet their relationship was nothing like Shizune and Tsunade's close sisterly bond, nor was it like Jiraiya and Minato's father-son dynamic. To Orochimaru, Anko was merely a disposable assistant, and later on, she would even become the very first test subject for the Heaven and Earth Cursed Seals. In the end, he discarded her with the excuse that she lacked ambition and drive, leaving her behind instead of taking her with him to build his empire.
One could say Anko had fallen on bad times, unfortunately running into a teacher with such thoroughly bankrupt morals as Orochimaru. Even the present-day Orochimaru couldn't help but inwardly curse at his past self for being such an utter scoundrel!
Still, this lifetime's Orochimaru would not let such a thing happen again. While he might not teach her everything he knew overnight, treating her a little better was certainly no trouble at all.
