The vote tallies for the Hokage election came out, and Namikaze Minato predictably emerged as the top candidate for Hokage.
This outcome did not come as a surprise to Orochimaru. What did surprise him, however, was that the results were finalized before he even had the chance to teach his fourth class at the Ninja Academy.
