Children are children, after all. No matter how precocious they may be, they cannot change their fundamental nature.
Once Yuka started crying, she couldn't stop. She clung to Momoko’s neck, sobbing so hard she was gasping for air, wailing with such intensity that, to put it hyperbolically, the tears could have flooded the entrance of Ichiraku Ramen. The impressive thing about Yuka was that while her tears didn’t actually drown the storefront, her cries were loud enough to reach inside, prompting the owner to rush out, drying his hands as he went.
"Oh my, Miss Yuka, what’s the matter?" Seeing her so heartbroken, the owner immediately hurried back into the shop to gather all sorts of candies and snacks to give her.
