Wiping the sweat from her brow, she heard the splashing sound of rushing water and was overjoyed. She followed the sound, scurrying over to discover a small pool. A quick look around confirmed she was alone; there wasn't even an animal in sight. She took a sip and found the water incredibly sweet. Suddenly, she caught sight of her reflection in the water and instinctively touched her cheek, feeling a sense of revulsion. "Dark and ruddy, the skin is impossibly rough, the face is gaunt and leathery, though at least the nose is high. Tsk, tsk, truly ugly..." In her past life, she had been a high-level executive who used only the finest luxury skincare products; she didn't even have the confidence that plastic surgery could fix this face now. She couldn't help but sigh. Oh well, at least she was still alive, wasn't she? She had to fill her stomach before she could think about anything else.
