Wiping the sweat from her brow, she heard the splashing sound of rushing water and was overjoyed. She followed the sound, scurrying over to discover a small pool. A quick look around confirmed she was alone; there wasn't even an animal in sight.
She took a sip and found the water incredibly sweet. Suddenly, she caught sight of her reflection in the water and instinctively touched her cheek, feeling a sense of revulsion. "Dark and ruddy, the skin is impossibly rough, the face is gaunt and leathery, though at least the nose is high. Tsk, tsk, truly ugly..."
