Liu Yiyi truly felt it was a strange coincidence to run into Ai Nanyin and the others at the campus exchange fair. In the distance, Ai and a few classmates were handing out campus bookmarks. Dressed in Lin University uniforms and wearing white caps adorned with school badges, they looked like the epitome of fresh university students—bright-eyed, radiant, and overflowing with an infectious youthfulness. It had been a full month since their brief, fleeting encounter. There were no shortage of Lin University students in sight, and the atmosphere felt much like a freshman recruitment drive. Various booths were manned by student representatives showcasing their best skills in painting, calligraphy, and music. Every department brought out its specialty: the economics department presented stock market trends, the literature department featured a statement from scholar representatives, and the engineering department held mechanical research seminars. There were also snacks and treats brought by the culinary school, freshly made on the spot with DIY stations where people could make things themselves. With food, drinks, and fun forums, the campus fair was far from dull.
