In the tall grass nearby, piles of black bones lay scattered—the plague had taken a devastating toll on the people.
As I marveled at the game's realism, I kept a cautious eye on the main road, which was slowly fading away. Before long, the road disappeared entirely, replaced by a forest tainted by the plague virus. The dark, murky earth was covered in grass that had withered into a sickly blackish-green. In the distance, several level 18 forest spiders lay in the grass, watching me, the uninvited guest.
I checked my own level—almost 17—and decided to use these spiders as my final offerings.
