There were no monsters on the way back. We had cleared them out too quickly for them to respawn yet. With two more high-level pieces of equipment added, my defense had reached a staggering 212, and my attack power had hit 200-245. Slicing at a skeleton of the same level, I could deal over 300 damage even without a critical hit.
My equipment added a total of 71 agility, which was enough to hold my own against a Thief of the same level. Unfortunately, Thieves received a 200% stat bonus from agility, so hoping to outpace a Thief in attack speed and movement was basically impossible—unless that Thief was running around in pure white-tier gear...
I looked back at Murong Shanshan. Her smooth, delicate face showed a hint of fatigue; after a whole night of hard fighting, she was exhausted too. The quest didn't require any specific items to be collected; the moment we blew up the Necromancer, the system had notified us that the quest was complete. Now all we had to do was go back to the lumberjacks to claim our reward.
