"Why are you moving out?"
Xu Hemiao offered a faint smile. "I can't just stay here forever. I’ve rented an apartment with a friend right next to my yoga studio; it’ll be much more convenient for my commute."
Zhou Cheng’s expression darkened. He had assumed that after everything that had happened between them, she wouldn't be leaving.
Xu Hemiao leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "I’ll come back to visit you. If you still enjoy my cooking, I’ll come over and make meals for you when I have the time."
Zhou Cheng looked at her, his eyes narrowed. "What is this? What do you take me for? A bed partner?"
Xu Hemiao avoided his gaze, looking away. "If that’s how you want to see it, fine. We’re both adults. I know you’re lonely, and I’m the same—clinging to each other for a bit of warmth is perfectly fine. You’re quite satisfying in bed, Zhou Cheng. Let’s just keep things as they are.
