Tang Ning walked all the way out of the school gates, ignored by Zhao Yifan, who tried to ask questions to no avail.
Turning left outside the gates and walking further, they came upon a grove of trees. Passing through it, they finally arrived at vast, unbroken stretches of farmland.
Zhao Yifan almost wanted to laugh. Most universities were located in city centers; only Agricultural University, due to its special nature, was situated in the suburbs. Only the suburbs could afford large tracts of cheap experimental fields, but the suburbs also guaranteed desolation all around—villages were not far off, and farmland bordered the campus right at its edges.
