Inside the room.
"What a fine treasure!" Shi Heng touched his shoulder and then his chest with both hands, carefully feeling the Ziyun within his body.
Sizzle!
He smacked his lips twice.
His ears were sharp, his eyes were clear, and his mind was agile. Memories he previously could not recall were now crystal clear!
To put it in perspective, he had just upgraded from a budget phone to a flagship device. His physical fitness, however, had not changed; it seemed this wasn't omnipotent after all.
After groping around a bit longer and seeing that Ziyun showed no other reactions, he gave up.
Next, he summoned the Chat Group. After fumbling awkwardly for a good while, he entered his new nickname.
More than half a day had passed since he transmigrated, and only now did he have time to study the Chat Group.
The interface was simple, with only the "Shake" option glowing. One could easily guess that other features would unlock only after adding members to the group.
Shake? How do you shake?
Shi Heng drew in another cold breath. What kind of deity had developed this feature? He had already transmigrated—was he supposed to shake it with his head?
The Chat Group's "Shake" flickered and changed to "Search".
He rolled his eyes at the sight.
There was no denying it—this Chat Group was truly smart!
Without further complaint, Shi Heng tapped on the search option with his consciousness.
"Ding... Searching..."
"Four worlds in the Boundary Sea have been detected in the surrounding area. Would you like to add contacts?"
"Yes."
"Ding... Global Third has joined the group!"
"Ding... Blood-Hand Butcher has joined the group!"
"Ding... Need Cupping? has joined the group!"
"Ding... Xu Xian is My Clansman has joined the group!"
"Welcome, newcomers! If anyone has questions, feel free to ask me, haha!" Group Owner - Shi Heng.
"As for speaking, everyone can just use your thoughts for voice chat!"
(1) (Displayed only once; everyone, please imagine future group chats yourself.)
"CPDD!" Xu Xian is My Clansman.
"Babata, what's going on? Were you poisoned?" Global Third.
"Has the Mana evolved early? To think it could make me hallucinate!" Need Cupping?.
"Interesting!" Blood-Hand Butcher.
Shi Heng opened the profiles of the four individuals one by one, understanding dawning in his heart.
"You're all fellow earthlings, so put your names in your remarks!
You can also change your nicknames. You're all currently in different worlds.
This group of ours is a Chat Group connecting the myriad realms, and you are the first batch I pulled in."
...
"Babata, did you see a chat window?"
"No! Luo Feng, what are you talking about? I didn't push any chat window to you, and I haven't detected any anomalies either. Stop letting your imagination run wild. While your new body is still incubating, practice these Golden Horned Beast innate secret techniques more!" Babata urged.
"You didn't see it?" Luo Feng pondered for a moment, then said, "I am Luo Feng, from Earth." Mental Telepath - Luo Feng.
"CPDD! Are there any beauties?" Peerless Martial God - Xu Qi'an.
Xu Qi'an was listening to music in a private room at the pleasure house when a chat group suddenly popped up in his mind. He was quite bewildered, but having already become a Martial God, he didn't care much and simply treated it as entertainment.
"Hello everyone, I am Ning Yi. Right now I'm in ancient times, and people give me the nickname 'Blood-Hand Butcher'!" Blood-Hand Butcher - Ning Yi.
At this moment, Ning Yi was discussing life and music with Nie Yunzhu, and he was also startled upon loading the Chat Group.
One had to admit that transmigrators truly were a special profession; their psychological endurance was beyond reproach.
Moreover, Ning Yi had been a business tycoon before his transmigration, so after just this brief moment upon entering the group chat, he didn't make a fuss over it.
"There's also a cupping technician? No beauties? Can I leave the group?" Xu Qi'an said.
"There is a great beauty, but she probably has troublesome matters, since her side is quite lively. This group of ours is likely a multi-dimensional cosmic-level group; who knows, there might even be a way back to Earth. Are you sure you want to leave?" Shi Heng bantered with Xu Qi'an, knowing full well that Xu Qi'an was testing the waters with the Chat Group.
He pondered in his heart for another moment, then operated the newly lit upload function of the Chat Group.
"Ding... Group Owner uploaded files.
Luo Feng: *Swallowed Star* novel + anime.
Ning Yi: *The Grandmaster Strategist* novel + anime + TV series.
Bai Yuekui: *Ling Long* anime.
Xu Qi'an: *Great Tang's Inspectorate Watchman* novel."
Shi Heng had no intention of acting like some kind of prophet. The consequences of flipping his car were not something a rookie who had just transmigrated like him could bear, so he simply uploaded the memory copies of the works he had read.
Half a cup of tea later.
"The Group Owner has some tricks up his sleeve! But why didn't this Chat Group appear when I first came over?
I'm already invincible in this world—this is so unscientific!
Also, I strongly deny this novel! I am wise and martial, pure and single-minded, and my relationship with them is purely platonic!
Being with them is just drinking tea and chatting. Great Beauty Bai Yuekui, don't believe any of this, haha. I'll private message you later and send you a few handsome photos!" Xu Qi'an flatly denied the fact that he was building a harem.
"Get over it. You're the only one with so much slick talk. This sort of thing is likely the world radiating onto the world, subsequently producing literary works similar to novels and anime." Shi Heng chimed in.
"What the Group Owner said makes some sense, but are you sure the TV series and anime radiated from my world are for real?"
The moment Ning Yi clicked on the novel about himself, he understood it all instantly without much emotional ripple. After all, if he were to face those various events in the future, his choices would be the same.
It was just that he kept struggling with his own emotional issues. As a business tycoon, his view on romance differed from that of the ancients, and yet seeing the TV series and anime about himself, he couldn't help but complain.
"First-hand experience can't be fake. We live in real worlds, and these novels and anime only serve as reference material.
Still, they are mostly accurate. I've also just finished seizing the body of the Golden Horned Beast and am preparing to incubate my own human clone. Based on my experience combined with this novel, it's pretty much spot on.
I just didn't expect my later achievements to be so high—this is simply absurd!" Luo Feng was extremely shocked upon seeing his own future.
"What Luo Feng said is fair. He truly lives up to being a future Lord of the Galaxy!" Shi Heng knew Luo Feng's situation and personality. As a famous protagonist of the myriad realms, befriending him was equivalent to befriending another Emperor Huang.
"Has Mana evolved to this extent?
Perhaps humanity is only a step away from extinction. Since you've evolved to this stage, why not just send Abyssal Beasts to wipe us out and completely destroy humanity?
Why bother playing this pretentious game with a fake Chat Group? Are you mocking us?"
Bai Yuekui did not believe in miracles in this world. She preferred to believe that the Chat Group was a hallucination generated after the Mana consciousness evolved, and remained indifferent upon seeing the anime related to herself, since Master Lai also possessed the ability to predict the future.
"Yo, something's wrong with the sister's world? I have experience with this. Look at how domineering I am—don't get a crush on me, oh!" Retired Martial God Xu Qi'an wretchedly sent a few photos of his great battle against the Sorcerer God and the Great Wilderness.
"Impressive!" (Thumbs-up emoji) Although Ning Yi was mentally prepared, he hadn't expected Xu Qi'an's displayed combat power to be so exaggerated.
"Truly impressive. He's no different from the universe-level powerhouses on our side," Luo Feng praised.
"Not bad, yo! Constable Xu, the Mana consciousness on Bai Yuekui's side of Earth would cry if it met you. I wonder if Mana is male or female? Why don't you go help Bai Yuekui? After all, her situation isn't looking too optimistic."
"Is there a teleportation function? I don't see it?"
"Video chat must be..."
"Whose idea was this Chat Group the Group Owner made? This is so unreliable!"
"Umm... Don't worry too much about the details. I just got in here not long ago either."
"Let's wait until her life is in danger before talking."
"Mana, what's the point of playing this trick? I won't believe you!" Bai Yuekui was extremely wary of the appearance of the Chat Group, especially since their current situation was so difficult. They couldn't afford to lose; they certainly couldn't count on the Lighthouse or look up to it, and the remaining humans on the surface weren't very numerous. A single misstep and everything would be gone.
"Ding... Xu Qi'an sent an exclusive red packet."
"Sending you a ton of food. No need to thank me, remember to send a pretty photo, oh!"
"......"
Bai Yuekui was completely baffled by the Chat Group. Wasn't Mana supposed to be behind this?
Should she tap it and find out?
After hesitating for a good while, she finally opened the red packet.
"Whoosh!"
A flash of white light, and a pile of sack-cloth bags filled with food appeared before Bai Yuekui's eyes. She rubbed her eyes with her hand, then stepped forward to grab a handful of wheat. Closing her eyes, she put it into her mouth, and her breathing gradually grew rapid, her chest heaving even more prominently under the strain.
*'Not Mana? Not Mana! How is that possible?'* A faint light flickered in Bai Yuekui's autumn-water-like eyes. She had lost hope and fantasy for far too long, and it took her quite a while to gradually accept the appearance of the Chat Group.
"Is the sister still there? Were you scared silly?"
"Her world is experiencing an apocalypse. Put yourself in her shoes—now that there's hope, emotional shock is definitely unavoidable."
In the group, Xu Qi'an and Ning Yi were the most idle. One had already completed his story, while the other was still picking up girls in Jiangning. Luo Feng was being urged by Babata to practice secret techniques and was busy incubating his body.
As for Shi Heng, he watched without speaking; talking was useless anyway. Everyone in the group was a big shot, while he was just a rookie who had only just transmigrated. Aside from being the Group Owner, he had no other advantages—his status in the pugilistic world was at rock bottom.
"Hehe, my plain and unpretentious Martial God career has just begun. With a chat group, things definitely won't be boring from now on! I'll wander around your worlds when I have free time, don't refuse, oh! By the way, Big Sister, remember to send a pretty photo!"
"Thanks for the food!"
Bai Yuekui wasn't the wishy-washy type either. As soon as she finished speaking, she sent a photo of herself standing on the shoulder of a Soul-Devouring Beast, then said: "I sent the photo, oh! I still have to go deal with this pile of food, let's chat again when I'm free."
"Don't rush to leave, sister. Do you need any help? This photo is too blurry, can you take a close-up? Send a few more and I'll give you a few more tons."
"Thank you, but it's not needed for now. Our population isn't very large, it's enough to last us half a month."
"Yakkity-yak..."
Determined to accept his rock-bottom status in the pugilistic world, Shi Heng didn't bother watching Xu Qi'an and Ning Yi shoot the breeze anymore. After all, Shi Heng was only at the starting line, poor and penniless, so he could only muddle along for now.
Once they got familiar with each other, anything could be discussed; after all, they were one big, loving family.
He had better set his goals and work out to build up his body first.
