Wusheng Grand Dojo in the JN District of Seoul.
Spanning ten mu, this estate was originally the residence of a high-ranking Japanese colonial official during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Its architectural style leans toward Japanese aesthetics while retaining many of the core elements of a traditional Korean *hanok*, with whitewashed walls and dark tiled roofs nestled amid lush greenery, creating a unique scenery.
The main gates of the dojo stood wide open. Beneath the eaves hung a black plaque, upon which the four large gilded characters "Wusheng Grand Dojo" gleamed in the sunlight, their brushstrokes bold and vigorous.
