Chu Qinghuang retrieved a Night-Shining Pearl from her spatial ring, held it in her hand, and stepped into the passage. The walls on both sides of the passage were built of stone and entirely bare. Chu Qinghuang walked straight along the passage for about the time it takes to brew half a cup of tea, when a faint light appeared ahead. She put away the Night-Shining Pearl, hugged the wall as she approached the mouth of the passage, and peered out cautiously.
Outside the passage was a vast space. A barrier enclosed two Qingluan birds, and outside the barrier were iron chain-like objects sealing it shut. At the convergence point of the iron chains was a talisman. Looking at the talisman, Chu Qinghuang guessed that it must be the seal trapping the Qingluan.
Chu Qinghuang stepped out of the passage with her sword in hand. Upon hearing the noise, the Qingluan inside the barrier slowly opened its eyes, looking rather surprised to see someone appear here. When it saw the sword in Chu Qinghuang's hand, it instantly stood up in alert, shielding the other Qingluan behind it while glaring angrily at Chu Qinghuang. However, its wobbling stance showed that this Qingluan was extremely weak, as if it had reached the end of its life.
