Chu Qinghuang said nothing, only watching quietly as the Qingluan dissolved into stardust and vanished. With a sigh, she glanced at the sleeping Little Qingluan beside her and transferred it into her spatial dimension. Though the parent bird had entrusted the little one to her, whether Little Qingluan would be willing to acknowledge her as its master remained to be seen; she would wait until it woke up before deciding what to do. After putting Little Qingluan away, Chu Qinghuang inspected the secret chamber once more. With a little renovation, this place would actually make a fine hideout. It was spacious enough; all it needed was a few furnishings. When she came out from the secret chamber, Chu Qinghuang restored the mechanism to its original state and pushed a cabinet in front of it to block the way. Satisfied that everything was in order, she left. Returning to her courtyard and checking the time, she realized it was already past noon. She washed up briefly, went out, grabbed a quick bite, and headed toward Qingfeng Pavilion to hire some temporary servants and have a plaque custom-made.
