Chapter 2

That very day, Outlook III called the general office of the World Government Affiliated Nations to announce his withdrawal.
At the same time, he contacted Morgans, the King of News at the newspaper agency, to publicize the matter and openly announce the kingdom's annexation into the Sypher Kingdom, requesting that the news be broadcast to the entire world as soon as possible.
That same afternoon, Outlook III broadcast the news nationwide, abdicated his throne, and surrendered the country.
The news spread like a hurricane to every corner of the Goa Kingdom.
All the citizens were passionately discussing it, panic-stricken!
Why would the powerful Goa Kingdom be annexed by such a tiny country like Sypher?!
Why abandon the status of a World Government Affiliated Nation?!
Doesn't this mean pirates, bandits, and outlaws could ignore the formidable reputation of the Marines and the World Government and pillage the kingdom?!
At this moment, inside the conference room of Marine Headquarters:
"An old World Government Affiliated Nation has suddenly announced its withdrawal, and has even announced its annexation into a weak little country in the East Blue... The upper echelons of the World Government want us Marines to dispatch troops there as soon as possible to maintain order and thoroughly investigate the specific reasons," Fleet Admiral Sengoku said in a deep voice.
In the conference room, the Three Admirals, Vice Admiral Tsuru, and numerous elite Vice Admirals were all present.
Upon hearing this assignment, everyone was clearly lacking in interest.
The Goa Kingdom was located in the weakest sea, the East Blue. Putting aside the fact that it couldn't arouse the interest of these combat maniacs, this was a national coup d'état—what did it have to do with the Marines anyway?
The duty of the Marines was to crack down on pirates.
"Borsalino, you make a trip there."
Seeing that no one spoke, Sengoku took the initiative to call out a name.
Borsalino, dressed in a yellow-striped suit, said with a lazy expression:
"I've been keeping my eye on the quite active Donquixote Family in the New World recently, Marshal. You should find someone else for this kind of thing."
Sengoku's gaze turned to Aokiji, who had his eyelids drooping.
Aokiji murmured:
"I don't really mind, but didn't Garp-san return to his hometown on leave? I remember his hometown is the Goa Kingdom. This mission is very suitable to be handed over to Garp-san."
Hearing this, Sengoku nodded slightly, picked up the Marshal's Den Den Mushi in front of him, and dialed Garp's private Den Den Mushi directly.
In the Goa Kingdom, Mount Colubo:
A burly man wearing a yellow floral shirt, flip-flops, and black whiskers was walking through a jungle.
Ahead stood a majestic wooden mountain bandit stronghold.
As soon as Garp walked into the interior of the stronghold, he heard a childish voice shouting loudly:
"I'm going to be a king of the pirates! I'm going to be the Pirate King!"
"I'm going out to sea, too! Luffy, I'll definitely become the Pirate King even earlier than you!"
"You two little brothers, I've already started saving money, hahaha~!"
Hearing his grandson Luffy, his adoptive son Ace, and another little brat actually utter such rebellious words, Garp's face instantly darkened as he strode into the stronghold.
Like an enraged ferocious beast, he stood before his grandson Luffy, his adoptive son Ace, Sabo, and his old friend, the mountain bandit Dadan.
"Still saying those kinds of things, are you, Luffy?!"
The next instant, Garp clenched his fist, which was the size of a sandbag, and shouted furiously:
"Don't you understand yet that what you are going to become in the future are Marines?!"
With that, his iron fist struck out, and two large bumps sprouted on the heads of Sabo, Ace, and Luffy as they collapsed onto the ground.
"Dadan! Is this how you help me raise kids?!"
Accompanied by Garp's shout, Dadan the mountain bandit trembled as she tried to slip away.
As a result, she was also knocked out by Garp's iron fist, collapsing to the ground with a large bump on her head.
"Agh! This is really driving this old man crazy!"
Garp walked over to a dining table, picked up a jar of wine, and began to drink wildly.
Buru-buru-buru~
At that moment, the Den Den Mushi in his arms rang.
"Who is it?! So annoying! Don't you know I'm on leave?!" In a foul mood, Garp answered the phone and let loose a barrage of curses.
Fleet Admiral Sengoku on the other end didn't indulge him either, firing back with an angry roar:
"Are you out of your mind, Garp?! Do you think I'm dying to call you? A coup d'état has happened in the Goa Kingdom, and they've announced their withdrawal from the World Government Affiliated Nations and joined the small country of Sypher! You hurry up and investigate it for me, you bastard!"
With that, Sengoku fiercely hung up the Den Den Mushi.
Garp was dumbfounded.
A coup happened in his own country?
On the ground, Dadan, Luffy, Ace, and Sabo, all knocked out just moments ago, stood up with large bumps on their heads, looking at Garp with curiosity.
"Grandpa? Did something incredible happen?" little Luffy asked.
"Old man, what is a World Government Affiliated Nation?" Ace asked with an arrogant yet aggrieved expression. Although he didn't quite understand the specific meaning of that phone call just now, he could vaguely sense that some huge change seemed to have taken place in this country.
Meanwhile, Sabo's expression turned shocked. He bolted out of the stronghold and left without looking back.
"What's up with this brat?" Garp asked Dadan.
"His name is Sabo. He's my sworn brother and Ace's, and he's a noble of this country!" Luffy introduced him proudly with a cheeky grin.
Garp's expression turned serious. It seemed this brat must have gone back to the Royal Palace.
Since he had to go investigate anyway, he might as well protect him along the way.
"Dadan, keep an eye on Ace and Luffy. Don't let them run around during this period. A coup d'état has occurred in the Goa Kingdom, and they've voluntarily withdrawn from the World Government Affiliated Nations. A lot of pirates are eyeing this piece of fat meat; it's going to be very dangerous from now on," Garp ordered.
Dadan was startled and stunned.
She had caught wind of the coup at the Royal Palace as well, but she hadn't expected it to cause such terrifying repercussions!
Pirates were far more ruthless than mountain bandits like them.
"Lots of pirates are coming?! Oh yeah, oh yeah! Finally, I get to see pirates other than Shanks!" Luffy jumped up and down with excitement. With his Gum-Gum Fruit abilities, he was just like a long-armed ape.
Garp angrily reached out and grabbed Luffy, pulling and stretching his face with both hands.
Radiating an astonishing, devil-like oppressive aura, he said:
"You are not allowed to go near that brat Shanks anymore! Ace, you too!"
The two brats trembled with fear.
After that, Garp departed swiftly, marching toward the Royal Palace.
At this time, Lynn, protected by sixteen elites of the Uchiha Clan, was walking through High Town in the city center.
The Goa Kingdom was divided into two main sections: the city center and the outskirts.
The city center was divided into:
Central Street: Residential area for commoners.
High Town: Residential area for nobles.
Royal Palace: Residential area for the royal family.
The outskirts were divided into:
Foosha Village (Luffy's birthplace)
Mount Colubo (Primeval jungle and the bases of Dadan and the Mountain Bandit Higuma)
Grey Terminal (Terminal for Unnamable Things)
Duan Town (Gathering place for hoodlums).
"Your Majesty, it's dangerous here. Do you need me to wipe all these people out?"
Walking on Lynn's right side, Uchiha Itachi said coldly.
A pair of three-tomoe Sharingan eyes kept watch on every single corner.
Beside him, Uchiha Shisui, Uchiha Tekka, Uchiha Inabi, and a total of sixteen elite Jonin all activated their Sharingan to guard Lynn—who was strolling and inspecting the area—in all directions with no blind spots.
"No need to mind them. What I'm waiting for is for these nobles to make a move on me," Lynn said indifferently, his gaze leisurely appreciating the streetscape of High Town.
The architecture of High Town was arranged like a magnificent labyrinth, neatly set along both sides of winding streets.
The exterior walls of every building were painted with vibrant colors: deep blue, vermilion, golden yellow, and ivory white harmonizing with one another.
Soaring spire towers and exquisitely carved window sills everywhere showcased the luxury and nobility of the aristocrats.
Exquisite stone carvings decorated the archways at the entrances, and beneath the eaves of almost every building hung magnificent flags or cloaks that fluttered gently in the breeze, seemingly reminding everyone that this was the noble core of the Goa Kingdom.
Yet, even such a prosperous sight could not conceal the thick hostility suspended in the air.
As Lynn walked down this street, countless noble residents cast gazes filled with hatred toward him.
He could sense murderous intent lurking in every corner around him.
Those former kingdom nobles harbored deep resentment and fury toward him after he conquered Goa.
Sometimes low curses drifted out from inside windows, and sometimes black shadows flickered between alleys; those hateful gazes seemed to pierce the air like sharp arrows pointing straight at his heart.
"Stop right there! You must be Lynn, the King of the Sypher Kingdom!"
Suddenly, a loud, resonant voice rang out from the tower spire of a building above the street.
