"How dare it make a fool of us! Brothers, charge!"
Realizing he was unhurt, the leader of the wolves flew into a rage, eager to rush forward.
"Well, happy times always pass so quickly. Goodbye!"
At that moment, Man Yangyang, Lan Yangyang, Xi Yangyang, and the others stood in a row, smiling. Holding a tablet, Xi Yangyang tapped the red button on the screen.
"No!"
A bead of cold sweat rolled down Hui Tailang's forehead. Sure enough, with a loud thump, the ground beneath his feet split open, instantly launching them all high up into the sky.
"I'll be back!"
Hui Tailang delivered his classic catchphrase in frustration.
"It's over, let's go eat!"
Lan Yangyang let out a yawn, took Meng Xiaoyang by the hand, and headed straight back for dinner.
All in all, Lan Yangyang couldn't care less about the wolf invasion. Besides, they were the main characters—with Xi Yangyang around, what was there to fear?
With another yawn from Lan Yangyang, the scene shifted back to Hui Tailang's side.
"What a fuss over nothing!"
Unlike Night Wolf and the others, Hui Tailang was already used to flying through the air and let out a relaxed yawn.
As he reached the roof of Wolf Castle, Hui Tailang executed a swift mid-air spin, landed gracefully, grabbed his hat, and slammed it onto his head. The entire sequence was effortless, seamless, and unimaginably smooth.
It easily scored a perfect ten out of ten. Hui Tailang even went out of his way to direct the cameraman to add a beauty filter and a backdrop.
"Ah!"
However, he couldn't even maintain the pose for three seconds before Night Wolf and the others crashed down on top of him, flattening him and completely ruining the backdrop.
"We're actually unharmed?"
Huier Taitailang exclaimed in amazement. After flying that far and that high, he hadn't sustained a single scratch, and neither had anyone else.
"Of course! Because I'm here, nothing bad will ever happen."
Pinned at the very bottom, Hui Tailang bore the weight of everyone else, standing firm without collapsing.
That was, of course, if one chose to ignore the profuse sweat pouring down his face, which would have made the moment even more perfect.
"Wonderful, simply wonderful!"
Seeing how reliable Hui Tailang was, Night Wolf and the others couldn't help bursting into applause.
Right at that moment, an envelope drifted down from the sky, landing squarely on Hui Tailang's head. Hui Tailang instantly lost his remaining strength and collapsed to the ground.
"Help! Hui Tailang has been struck down by an envelope!"
Seeing this, Night Wolf wore a profound expression and cried out. A few minutes later, Hui Tailang blinked dazedly, looking around the scene in total confusion.
"What just happened?"
While Hui Tailang was still trying to process things, familiar voices drifted over from nearby. He turned his head to see Night Wolf and the others gathered together, staring at the letter and repeating the word "good" over and over.
"What are you guys doing?"
Hui Tailang got to his feet, walked over, snatched the envelope right out of their hands, and began to read.
"General Wolf? General Wolf?!"
After reading it once, Hui Tailang didn't think much of it—until the realization suddenly hit him a second later.
"General Wolf is coming to help us? Could it be *that* General Wolf?"
As Hui Tailang pondered this, legends of General Wolf flashed through his mind. Legend had it that this General Wolf had captured countless sheep in his time; he was truly the elite among wolves.
"Hey, Hui Tailang, why is your name at the bottom here?"
While Hui Tailang was lost in his daydream, Double Fork Wolf stepped forward and pointed a finger at the bottom of the letter.
"What? What is this? 'Due to failing to capture sheep, Hui Tailang is stripped of his sheep-catching qualifications and expelled from the Wolf Tribe.' Oh, he's only expelled from the Wolf Tribe... Wait, expelled from the Wolf Tribe? What?!"
Shocked out of his wits, Hui Tailang pressed his face against the envelope and read it over and over again, still unable to believe his eyes.
"You guys..."
Hui Tailang turned his head, about to say something to Night Wolf and the rest, but the area fell dead silent for a few seconds. For some unknown reason, he was now the only one left in the clearing.
Meanwhile, back in Sheep Village, Xi Yangyang sat squatting beneath a tree, wiping down his water gun and lost in thought.
"Hi!"
At that moment, Man Yangyang popped out of nowhere, even flashing a peace sign.
"Principal Slow Goat, i-is there something you need?"
Startled out of his wits, Xi Yangyang almost dropped his water gun.
"I've got a small matter to attend to. Come with me to the warehouse."
The art style shifted as Xi Yangyang and Man Yangyang walked along the path toward the warehouse. As they walked, Man Yangyang casually inquired about what was weighing on Xi Yangyang's mind.
"Xi Yangyang, you seem troubled."
Hearing Man Yangyang's words, Xi Yangyang paused to think for a moment before finally deciding to speak up.
"Principal, can wolves and sheep really live in harmony..."
Before Xi Yangyang could finish, Man Yangyang reached out and covered his mouth, making a shushing gesture.
"Keep it down! You mustn't let Dao Yang hear about this! Understand?"
"I know you want to protect everyone, but you also don't want to hurt the wolves, which is why you've been using that water gun, right?"
As the village principal, Man Yangyang clearly saw right through Xi Yangyang's heart.
"Whether wolves and sheep can live in harmony is something you'll have to find out for yourself!"
Man Yangyang walked ahead, speaking with an air of profound wisdom. Suddenly, Lan Yangyang and Meng Xiaoyang dashed out from somewhere, with Lan Yangyang standing out in particular—he was hoisting a massive cannon right over his shoulder.
"What the heck? I don't know what Xi Yangyang is thinking, but as for me, I'm irreconcilably at odds with the wolf pack! Sheep Army, Second Battalion, Third Platoon, Second Squad's Lan Yangyang, codename Big Cannon Number One!"
"Report, I'm Big Cannon Number Two!"
Striking theatrical poses, Lan Yangyang and Meng Xiaoyang carried the cannon around, looking wildly arrogant.
The cannon on Lan Yangyang's shoulder had been built by Man Yangyang to defend against the wolves, but ever since it was handed over to him, Lan Yangyang had completely let it go to his head.
"I'm going to defeat Hui Tailang! Big Cannon Number One!"
"Big Cannon Number Two is going to beat Hui Tailang too!"
With a look of supreme confidence, Lan Yangyang ran around everywhere with Meng Xiaoyang carrying the cannon. Xi Yangyang could only look on, speechless.
Sheep Village Guardian: The Fall of Sheep Village
Soon after, Xi Yangyang followed Man Yangyang to the warehouse to clean up, though the warehouse was undeniably massive.
On the other end, Hui Tailang gripped a iron shovel, digging a hole out in the wilderness. Once finished, he carefully laid a thin layer of grass over the top—clearly setting a trap.
"Finally finished setting it up!"
"With this trap in place, when General Wolf's carriage drives by, it'll collapse right through. Then I'll make a dazzling appearance to rescue General Wolf! That way, I'll definitely reclaim my wolf status and reach the absolute pinnacle of wolf society!"
"Hahahahaha!"
With that, Hui Tailang put his hands on his hips and threw his head back in laughter, drool streaming uncontrollably from his mouth.
Suddenly, a horn blared in the distance. Turning his head, Hui Tailang spotted General Wolf's vehicle approaching. He hurriedly shook his head, wiped away his drool, and scrambled to hide in the nearby bushes.
Abruptly, that familiar relative of his charged out of nowhere, crashing straight into Hui Tailang and sending him flying into the foliage.
"Oh no, there goes my trap!"
Hui Tailang shouted as he scrambled to his feet, turning back to look at the trap. Just as expected, it had been prematurely triggered.
"How could this happen? My trap!"
"Wait, oh no, it's too late to stop!"
As Hui Tailang watched in panic, General Wolf reached out from inside the vehicle, tossing a chip into the air that instantly bonded with a passing pigeon.
In a flash, the pigeon grew to massive proportions, resembling a ferocious beast. It swooped down over the vehicle, grabbed it with its talons, and soared up into the sky.
With wings seemingly sprouted from its sides, General Wolf's vehicle flew straight over the patch of bushes and headed directly toward Sheep Village.
Hui Tailang was left behind in the dirt, marveling at General Wolf's immense power, when suddenly a purple suitcase—stamped with a wolf paw print split in half—fell straight down from the sky, smashing right onto Hui Tailang's head. Meanwhile, Night Wolf and the others managed to break free from the trap and sprinted furiously in the direction General Wolf's flying vehicle had taken, trampling over Hui Tailang several times in their haste.
Elsewhere, Xi Yangyang was struggling to stack one box on top of another. After giving himself a brief pep talk, he turned around and accidentally stepped on a toy bouncy ball, sending him tumbling backward and bringing the stack of boxes crashing down once more.
"Ah! Who did that?!"
Hui Tailang shrieked. He had been lying quite comfortably on his back when a hippopotamus suddenly landed on top of him.
"Who leaves themselves lying in the middle of the road? That's dangerous!"
The hippo stood up, scolded Hui Tailang sharply, and then scurried away in a hurry.
"Damn it, you bump into me and don't even apologize? I'm going to get the General to deal with you."
Furious, Hui Tailang climbed to his feet. He watched the direction the hippo had fled, crossing his arms, puffing out his cheeks, and tilting his head in an indignant pout—looking for all the world like a child about to run and tell their parents.
"Huh, what's this?"
Looking around the clearing, Hui Tailang suddenly noticed a scattered mess of items, including a box.
"Oh, these must be General Wolf's belongings. Wait, if I tidy them up nicely, won't that leave a great first impression? Then I can make my triumphant return to the top!"
With that, Hui Tailang expertly grabbed a cleaning rag and set to work. It was clear from his movements that he was a seasoned pro—he must have done plenty of housework in his time.
Nearby, Xi Yangyang turned to look at the heap of fallen boxes he had just knocked over, a wave of disappointment washing over him.
Disappointment aside, however, Xi Yangyang quickly picked himself up, dusted himself off, and started organizing everything all over again from scratch.
"Time to butter up General Wolf!"
Hui Tailang declared, lifting his chin and raising a fist. Though separated by distance, the wolf and sheep simultaneously tackled their cleaning duties.
Moving items, putting things away, dusting surfaces, wringing out rags, and sweeping the floor—both Hui Tailang and Xi Yangyang cleaned with utmost diligence.
Just as the two of them were carrying items at the same time, a box suddenly tumbled down.
"What is this?"
Tilt-heading in confusion, Xi Yangyang picked up the box and opened it to find a blue and white handgun inside. The weapon featured a rainbow-colored accent, a blue circle above the grip, gold and red borders, and a decorative little pair of wings at the butt of the handle.
As if driven by some primal genetic instinct, Xi Yangyang scooped up the gun, tossed it into the air, caught it with a spin, pulled the trigger, and began playing with it while imitating firing sounds with his mouth.
"Pew pew pew! Man, I look so cool!"
After playing with it for a moment, Xi Yangyang suddenly blushed, covering his mouth as he realized just how cool he actually looked.
"Xi Yangyang, the Principal is looking for you!"
At that moment, Fei Yangyang poked his head out from behind a rack, flashing a sneaky grin before hurrying off to deliver the message.
"Got it."
Xi Yangyang nodded in acknowledgment. Fei Yangyang started to walk away, but suddenly doubled back just to tease him.
"Man, you look so cool~ Hahahaha!"
"Oh, could this be General Wolf's chip?"
Hui Tailang opened a small case, pulled out a gray microchip, and examined it closely.
"With this, I'll be able to catch the sheep and restore my wolf status!"
Without hesitation, Hui Tailang pressed the chip directly against his chest. Suddenly, a colorful stream of light enveloped him, and after striking a magical-girl-style transformation pose, Hui Tailang stared down at his own dog paws, falling into deep contemplation.
"How on earth did I turn into a dog? And what's with that weird transformation music just now?"
Realizing he had transformed into a canine, Hui Tailang panicked, hurriedly grabbed his luggage, and ran off to find General Wolf.
General Wolf arrived above Sheep Village, snapped his fingers, and recalled the chip, causing his vehicle to descend gently back to the ground. He then pushed open the door, flung his cape over his shoulder, and put on his sunglasses in one impossibly smooth, fluid motion.
Night Wolf and the others stood in a row, looking up at him with the fanatical worship of obsessed teenage fangirls.
"General Wolf is so cool!"
"As expected of the veteran General! The moment he arrives, he attacks Sheep Village—totally different from that useless piece of work Hui Tailang!"
Having just rushed over in time to catch those words, Hui Tailang couldn't contain his rage any longer. He lunged forward, waving his dog paws and scratching furiously at Night Wolf.
"Hey, stop messing around! Wait, these are General Wolf's things."
Irritated, Night Wolf shoved the dog-formed Hui Tailang aside, only to spot the luggage Hui Tailang had dropped nearby.
Sensing a golden opportunity to score points, Night Wolf hurriedly dashed over, picked up the luggage, and handed it directly to General Wolf. Hui Tailang tried to rush forward and stop him, but accidentally slipped and tumbled headfirst into a mud puddle, keeping company with a bunch of frogs.
"We can't let him outshine us either—let's attack!"
Seeing Night Wolf hogging the spotlight, the rest of the wolves charged forward immediately, launching a full-scale assault on Sheep Village.
Naturally, the results were entirely useless, because Sheep Village had just activated its ultimate weapon: the Super Flyswatter.
Its sheer power was enough to send any invading wolves flying with a single slap, leaving not a single one behind.
"Hmph! With my Super Flyswatter here, let's see who dares set foot in Sheep Village!"
Man Yangyang brandished the flyswatter triumphantly while Lan Yangyang and the others clapped and cheered from the sidelines.
Realizing that Night Wolf and the others were getting nowhere, General Wolf calmly adjusted his sunglasses, walked over, picked the frog off Hui Tailang's head, and pulled out the chip.
Just as Lan Yangyang was about to suggest breaking for lunch now that the crisis was apparently over, the ground let out a violent tremor.
They turned to look, only to see a gigantic frog charging directly toward them.
Riding atop the giant frog's head with confident, smug grins, Night Wolf and his crew directed the beast as it barreled forward.
"Don't be afraid, children! With my Super Flyswatter, we've got nothing to worry about!"
Utterly unfazed, Man Yangyang directly swung the Super Flyswatter into action!
The next second, a brief silence fell. The flyswatter connected with the frog's body—it was a hit, but it had almost zero effect; it hit, but didn't *really* do the job.
"Principal!"
Fei Yangyang and the others cried out in alarm. With a single wave of its hand, the giant frog batted the Super Flyswatter away, lashed out with its long tongue, and snatched Man Yangyang right up.
Right at that moment, Xi Yangyang came running over. Looking at him, Fei Yangyang suddenly asked with a puzzled frown, "Xi Yangyang, why is something on you glowing?"
As Fei Yangyang voiced his confusion, Xi Yangyang instinctively pulled out the gun, gripped it tightly in his hand, took aim at the giant frog, and pulled the trigger.
Just then, Lan Yangyang dashed into the frame, shoved his way to the front of the camera, and threw his hands up in a 'stop' gesture.
"Wait a minute! Isn't that the gun Xi Yangyang just picked up? How does he even know how to use it? This plot hole is way too ridiculous! Why does everyone automatically know how to use newly acquired gear?"
"It's totally normal, isn't it? Xi Yangyang already has a water gun, and a gun is a gun—isn't it normal that he knows how to use one?"
Hearing Lan Yangyang's bewildered complaint, Fei Yangyang retorted with a deadpan look. Lan Yangyang paused to think about it, and admitted it made a lot of sense.
"Fine then, let's keep going!"
With nothing left to say, Lan Yangyang had to let the scene proceed. Xi Yangyang pulled the trigger, instantly firing an ice blast that froze the giant frog solid.
"Whoa, that's amazing!"
Fei Yangyang and the others cheered. Just then, Man Yangyang came scurrying over, shouting at everyone to run for their lives as the frozen giant frog toppled forward, crashing directly into the iron gates of Sheep Village.
Sheep Village Guardian: Escape from Sheep Village
"Hmph, so what if you froze a frog? The gate is already broken—let's get them!"
Showing absolute disdain, the Seven Evil Wolves charged forward once more. Seeing this, Xi Yangyang quickly gripped his gun again, but this time, absolutely nothing happened.
"What's going on? Did it jam?"
"Don't talk nonsense! This gun doesn't even use bullets, how could it possibly jam?"
Seeing this, Lan Yangyang chimed in with another complaint. Fei Yangyang gave Lan Yangyang a smack on the head, pointing out that a gun without bullets couldn't possibly jam to begin with.
"True. But if it doesn't use bullets, how does it fire anything?"
"We're in a cartoon, alright? Sometimes you just shouldn't sweat the details, okay?"
Fei Yangyang was left speechless. This wasn't a live-action drama series—what good would logic and details do them here?
"Ha! So it was just all bluff! Looks like this gun is totally useless now."
The Seven Evil Wolves stood their ground for three seconds, and when nothing happened, they raised their wolf paws and lunged forward again. But right at that moment, dozens of blue light beams erupted from the damaged Sheep Village gate, weaving together around the perimeter to form an impenetrable energy barrier.
"What is this thing?"
Blocked outside the barrier, the Seven Evil Wolves stared at it in utter bewilderment. At that moment, Xi Yangyang noticed a symbol glowing on the shield—and it was an exact match for the emblem on his gun.
"What's going on here?"
As Xi Yangyang wondered aloud, Man Yangyang and General Wolf both fell into simultaneous, identical expressions of shock: *"Could it be him?!"*
"Meng Xiaoyang, what are you doing? Little sis, get back here!"
While everyone else was still stunned, Lan Yangyang let out a sudden shriek. To everyone's horror, Meng Xiaoyang had actually lifted her leg and poked her right foot right through the barrier.
"Heaven truly helps me! Kids really will be kids!"
Night Wolf roared in triumph and lunged forward, preparing to grab Meng Xiaoyang. At that exact split second, Meng Xiaoyang pulled her foot back, and Night Wolf slammed face-first into the energy shield.
"Ow, that hurts!"
Clutching his bruised nose, Night Wolf staggered back a few steps. Just as he did, Meng Xiaoyang stuck her foot out again. Seizing the opening, Night Wolf lunged forward a second time—only for the exact same thing to happen.
Right at the critical moment, Meng Xiaoyang pulled her foot back. Then she stuck it out again, Night Wolf lunged; she pulled it back, he lunged; she stuck it out, he lunged...
Watching this endless loop play out, the entire village of sheep stood there in absolute shock. *Wait a minute—our useless knowledge base has just expanded again!*
"Ah, seriously?!"
"How dare you make a fool of me! Brothers, open fire!"
Humiliated by the teasing, Night Wolf executed a backward flip, hauled out a cannon, and opened fire immediately.
"Oh ho, trying to show off, are we? I'll send you flying—who says you're the only ones with a cannon? Big Cannon Number One, activate!"
Seeing this, Lan Yangyang showed not a shred of fear. He hoisted his own cannon and charged right back into the fray.
"Dammit, just fire already!"
In an instant, Lan Yangyang and Hui Tailang—one standing atop a cannon barrel, the other hoisting one on his shoulder—unleashed a barrage of missiles, trading blows across the energy barrier.
"Oh crap!"
"Are you ever going to quit?!"
Realizing standard attacks weren't working, Lan Yangyang scurried over, snatched the remote control from Man Yangyang, and swiped across the screen three times to activate the Super Missile System.
