Chapter 11

Yuanqing had not yet recovered from the overwhelming might of Hongjun.
Hongjun's strength was truly terrifying, thoroughly living up to his status as the Taoist Ancestor and the ultimate victor of the conflict between the Dao and the Demon. All the magic treasures and cultivation methods left behind by the various innate gods and demons now belonged to Hongjun alone.
"I am truly filled with envy," Yuanqing sighed to himself. "He is indeed worthy of being the Taoist Ancestor and the spokesperson for Heavenly Dao."
After letting out this sigh, Yuanqing made his way up toward Pangu Hall on Mount Buzhou. After walking for tens of thousands of years, he finally reached his destination. The exterior of Pangu Hall was magnificent and awe-inspiring; massive stone pillars supported the entire grand hall, carved all over with ancient and mysterious runes that emitted a faint, gentle glow.
"Pangu Hall is truly majestic and imposing," Yuanqing muttered, filled with admiration for the greatness of Great God Pangu.
He looked at the great doors of Pangu Hall, which stood tens of thousands of feet high, and prepared to push them open. However, no matter how hard he tried, he found that the doors would not budge.
Yuanqing pondered for a moment. *Ah, I am not of Pangu's bloodline, so entering Pangu Hall is going to be extremely difficult. When all else fails, consult the System.*
"System, how do you expect this host to get inside Pangu Hall? Pangu Hall is the heart of Pangu and the very symbol of the Primordial World."
"The Pangu Hall atop Mount Buzhou is the place with the strongest residual pressure from Pangu."
"System, I can't get into Pangu Hall. You need to think of a way for me."
"Host, leave it to this System! This matter is as simple as you make it, yet as difficult as you make it. All the host needs is to carry the aura of Pangu."
"System, you make it sound so easy, but it's terribly difficult. I am a transmigrator; how could I possibly possess Pangu's aura? System, you're the one who needs to help me acquire it."
"Host, this time the System will help you enter Pangu Hall. Leave everything to me."
Shortly after, the System forcefully opened a spatial wormhole. "The host is all set."
"Got it, System."
Following that, Yuanqing stepped inside Pangu Hall.
Colossal stone pillars stood like a forest within, every single one covered in ancient and mysterious runes.
"Pangu is truly great!"
Gazing toward the center of Pangu Hall, Yuanqing spotted twelve towering pillars, each bearing a swirling mass of baleful energy.
"Could these twelve clusters of baleful energy be the Twelve Ancestral Witches transformed from Pangu's blood essence? Each of these twelve possesses heaven-defying divine power, and every single Ancestral Witch is born with mastery over a primordial law."
Yuanqing couldn't help but marvel. These Twelve Ancestral Witches, much like the Three Pure Ones, were the direct progeny of Pangu, born with a complete law of nature. It was an object of pure envy—instant jealousy online.
Then, right in the middle of those twelve pillars, Yuanqing noticed a pool of blood. The deep crimson liquid within was constantly pulsating.
Yuanqing thought to himself, *If my guess is correct, this must be the blood pool of the Wu clan, where the Twelve Ancestral Witches were conceived and nurtured. Truly, they were naturally formed from Pangu's blood essence.*
Suspended directly above the pool was a heart, beating slowly.
Yuanqing reasoned that this must be the heart of Pangu. Great God Pangu was at the Half-Step Dao Realm, and the heart of a Half-Step Dao Realm being was unimaginably profound. Yet Yuanqing dared not harbor any extravagant hopes at the moment; if he allowed even a sliver of greed to cross his mind, the residual pressure of Pangu lingering within the hall would instantly reduce him to ashes.
*The might of a Half-Step Dao Realm entity is truly terrifying. Even the pressure left behind after death is something we mortals cannot withstand,* Yuanqing sighed once more. *Great God Pangu was truly the strongest of the innate gods and demons, and the favored biological son of the Great Dao, born directly at the Half-Step Dao Realm.*
*Pangu split apart two thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine innate demon gods with his Pangu Axe without batting an eye,* Yuanqing thought with another sigh. *He was truly protected by the Great Dao—a true biological son of the Dao itself.*
Just as Yuanqing was lost in his reflections, the blood pool suddenly rippled.
The System's prompt sounded: "Host, there is unusual activity inside this blood pool. Let's go down and take a look."
Yuanqing descended to the edge of the blood pool and saw a figure of light slowly emerging. As the figure gradually became clearer, it took the form of a giant radiating an ancient and primordial aura.
Yuanqing wondered, *Could this be... besides the Twelve Ancestral Witches, is there someone else in Pangu Hall?*
The giant slowly opened his eyes, casting a gaze toward Yuanqing devoid of any hostility.
A deep voice sounded: "You and I share a destiny; since you have arrived at this Pangu Hall, it is all by fate."
After hesitating for a moment, Yuanqing summoned his courage and stepped forward. The giant raised his hand and waved it lightly, sending a stream of light directly into Yuanqing's body. "I have come to bestow upon you a stroke of fortune."
Filled with power, Yuanqing was ecstatic. Just as he was about to express his gratitude, the giant had already faded away. He decided it was best to leave Pangu Hall for now to properly assimilate this newfound power; with it, he would surely accomplish great things in the Primordial World in the future.
Turning around, he began to walk toward the exit of the hall. *This was most likely the lingering will of Great God Pangu,* Yuanqing thought, looking down at the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler in his hand.
A wave of delight washed over him. This was a acquired supreme treasure of merit, unmatched in offensive power and free from the burden of karmic retribution when taking a life.
Yuanqing gazed at the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler, finding it profoundly wondrous.
The acquired supreme treasure of merit, the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler, was merely a foot long, making it extremely easy to hold and carry.
It was wreathed in the primordial breath of Hongmeng, with faint purplish lights leaking out, carrying the profound aura of the Great Dao.
Countless runes flickered in and out of existence along the body of the ruler, likely containing the laws of the Great Dao or mysterious primal forces.
Inscribed upon the handle of the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler were two innate divine characters—"Liang Tian" (Measuring the Heavens)—highlighting its extraordinary status and unique significance.
Yuanqing thought to oneself, *As the foremost innate offensive spiritual treasure of merit, the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler is on par with the Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Pagoda. Its offensive power is exceptionally formidable, second only to the Pangu Banner. It can effortlessly tear through space and shatter enemies, making it a rare and peerless offensive treasure in the Primordial World.*
The System noted, "Although the primary function of the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler is offense, it also possesses a certain degree of defensive capability. At critical moments, it can fend off attacks from top-tier magic treasures and protect the user from harm."
The System added, "The Hongmeng Measuring Ruler also possesses the miraculous ability to suppress Qi Luck. In the Primordial World, Qi Luck is vital to the development of any faction. A faction or individual possessing the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler can harness its power to suppress their Qi Luck, ensuring the stability and prosperity of their fortunes."
Yuanqing pondered further. *I still need to carefully select a spiritual treasure to suppress Qi Luck. Look at Master Tongtian of the Jie Cult—using an offensive treasure like the Qingping Sword to suppress Qi Luck simply doesn't work, and it severely harms the fortunes of the Jie Cult.*
