As for the remaining Ten Great Innate Spiritual Roots, the Bitter Bamboo was legendary as the property of Saint Jieyin, and was even referred to in later generations as the Six-Purity Bamboo, a supreme treasure of the Buddhist sect.
Its appearance was identical to that of an emerald bamboo, yet its entire form was shrouded in an endless aura of sorrow and bitterness. No matter who they were, anyone ensnared by this sorrowful intent of the Bitter Bamboo would find their mind filled with thoughts of death and absolute despair, ultimately taking their own lives before the bamboo.
Although dangerous, if one could endure this sorrowful intent, the Bitter Bamboo would be of immense help to their cultivation, cleansing their mind of all inner demons and leaving them utterly pure.
