Chapter 6
Having secured a temporary safeguard in the form of massive Heavenly Dao Merit earned through the creation of writing, Taoist Fuguang became a thoroughly reclusive and dedicated cultivator.
Whenever he gained insights, he went into seclusion.
When his periods of seclusion grew too long, he would emerge and busy himself inside the Golden Crow Palace, tending to the various spiritual roots he had gathered during his previous descent into the Primordial World.
He would pluck a few fruits to brew wine.
And savor the flavor of the Innate Fire Mulberry.
Such a life—
was truly comfortable, grounded, and entirely at ease.
During his breaks from seclusion,
he also tinkered with numerous pastimes—
Go.
Chinese chess.
Western chess.
And various other small games for leisure and entertainment.
Although there was no one to play with him, he found great joy in playing against himself.
Moreover,
as the creator of writing, the artisan of the brush, ink, paper, and inkstone, and the veritable ancestor of the Literary Dao, he had compiled several classic texts and even devoted himself to creating entertainment works such as novels, poems, and rhapsodies.
Indeed—
Taoist Fuguang had even self-taught the Dao of Sound for this purpose.
He whipped up ancient musical instruments like the suona, erhu, and chime bells, as well as a variety of modern instruments from before his transmigration, such as the piano, guitar, and saxophone.
The appearance of some of these items added a rich splash of color to their corresponding Great Daos.
This drew a faint trace of Heavenly Dao Merit, which not only made the halo of merit behind Taoist Fuguang a fraction brighter, but also endowed these tiny objects with a degree of creation, transforming them into artifacts of merit.
While Taoist Fuguang was living his leisurely and carefree life,
across the vast expanse of the Primordial World,
having weathered the ripples of the previous Tribulation and a brief period of desolation, things were growing lively once again.
Innate Divine beings, born into manifestation in this era, stepped out of their respective dojos one after another.
They traveled across the Primordial World, established grand reputations, and harvested spiritual treasures and resources.
Among them—
the most resounding names belonged to the Three Pure Ones, who emerged from Eastern Kunlun, formed from the fusion of Pangu’s divine soul and the clear Qi, and were hailed as the orthodox successors of Pangu.
The Primordial World had been cleaved open by the Great God Pangu, and coupled with the formidable strength of the Three Pure Ones, the title of Pangu's orthodox successors thoroughly resonated throughout the realm.
Additionally—
the brother-sister pair of Daluo Golden Immortals who walked out from a corner of Mount Buzhou, Fuxi and Nuwa, enjoyed an equally illustrious reputation.
Fuxi’s calculations missed nothing.
Nuwa’s mastery over the Great Dao of Creation had reached the realm of perfection.
Ordinary Daluo Golden Immortals who crossed paths with this pair were bound to come out on the losing end.
Then there was the Endless Sea of Blood.
Treading upon the twelfth-grade Fire-Red Lotus of Merit and holding the two supreme Innate Spiritual Treasure killing swords—Yuan Tu and Abi, which accumulated no karma—
Ancestor Styx, who had mastered the blood sea divine powers and was renowned for the saying "the Sea of Blood never dries, Styx never dies," possessed boundless momentum.
The close friends Hongyun of Huoyun Cave and Zhenyuanzi of Longevity Mountain were avoided by all.
In the Northern Sea, the speed of Kunpeng was unmatched across the Great Wilderness Universe.
The twin moon goddesses of the Lunar Star, Xihe and Changxi, were renowned throughout the Primordial World for their beauty.
...
For a time,
the vast Primordial World—
could be described as a hundred schools of thought contending, with Innate Divine beings stepping onto the stage one after another.
It was utterly magnificent!
...
Time flowed on.
Ten Yuanhui passed amidst this bustling liveliness.
On this day—
Taoist Fuguang was at his desk inside the Golden Crow Palace, writing and recording some of the bizarre and whimsical thoughts in his mind in the form of essays.
Suddenly,
Hum—
The firmament of the entire Primordial World was showered with heavenly light and descending clouds, purple Qi surged from the east, and golden lotuses blossomed from the earth.
Countless manifestations of creation and boundless blessings burst forth between heaven and earth.
A supreme, transcendent, and majestic figure stood majestically between heaven and earth, causing all living beings to gaze up in awe and bow their heads.
Then,
amidst the profound and echoing Dao resonance, a voice sounded beside the ears of all living beings:
"I am Hongjun. Having comprehended the supreme Dao, I have today attained the Hunyuan fruit of righteousness and achieved the Dao to become a Sage."
"Ten thousand years from now, in accordance with the mandate of Heaven, I shall lecture on the Dao for all living beings in the Zixiao Palace within the Outer-Heavenly Chaos of the Thirty-Three Heavens. Those with a fated affinity may all come to listen!"
As the voice faded,
the Sage's pressure that had weighed upon the living beings of the Primordial World dissipated, and the preceding celestial phenomena slowly faded away as well.
Feeling the Sage's pressure lift, all living beings breathed a sigh of relief in their hearts.
Immediately following that,
their faces surged with excitement—
Without a doubt!
The immense fortune of a Sage lecturing on the Dao was simply too heart-stirring.
In an instant,
figures across every corner of the Primordial World soared upward on auspicious clouds and spiritual treasures, heading straight toward the Outer-Heavenly Chaos.
These eager cultivators rushing to the Outer-Heavenly Chaos to listen to the Dao varied in strength.
The powerful among them were top-tier experts among the Daluo Golden Immortals.
The weak were mere minor Golden Immortals who knew neither the height of the heavens nor the depth of the earth.
Inside the Golden Crow Palace,
Taoist Fuguang stopped the brush and ink in his hand. A natural scholarly aura of the Literary Dao radiated from him, perfectly concealing his two fundamental Daos—the Dao of the Sun and the Dao of Fire.
This made him look like nothing more than a cultivator deeply devoted to the Literary Dao.
He didn't look at all like an inherently domineering Innate Divine being born from the supreme Sun Star!
Nor would anyone ever suspect—
that this very Taoist Fuguang actually bore the Ninety-Nine Supreme Destiny!
And this,
was precisely what Taoist Fuguang desired now!
As the saying goes—
obscure one's brilliance, and through obscurity one's brilliance becomes apparent!
Taoist Fuguang always felt that hiding a few more things and keeping a few more backup plans would allow him to unleash unexpected effects when the time truly called for it.
After all, he was not cultivating the grandiose and imposing Dao of Emperors, so naturally, he cared nothing for issues like maintaining a supreme overlord image.
He did not compete with others.
He lived solely for the desires in his own heart—
to live a little longer,
take a wife,
and be free, easy, and happy.
Beyond these, no other thoughts were given any consideration whatsoever!
