Houtu's figure was light and graceful as she hovered above the turbulent Sea of Blood. The raging gale roared like a mad beast, rushing toward her and wildly tangling her hair so that it whipped about in the air like writhing black flames.
Yet her resolute gaze pierced through the layers of mist, sharp as a blade, staring straight up at the boundless and mysterious firmament. She took a deep breath, her breathing steady and powerful. Then, her voice rang out like a great bell, echoing leisurely between heaven and earth with an unquestionable firmness and a profound, compassionate sentiment for all living beings: "O Great Dao, hear me! Today, Houtu is willing to use her own strength to open up the place of Samsara, building a path of liberation for all living beings in the Primordial World. I pray that the Great Dao will grant its recognition and power!" Her words carried immense weight, as if she were proclaiming her grand determination to the entire Primordial World.
As her sincere prayer gradually dissolved into the air, the previously calm sky instantly changed dramatically. Vast expanses of dark clouds gathered rapidly from all directions like a mighty army receiving a mobilization order, piling up layer upon layer like a heavy black curtain. In the blink of an eye, they completely covered the sky, blocking out the sunlight entirely and plunging the world into an endless, dark abyss.
