After leaving the mysterious island, Su Yu continued his travels across the East Sea, completely unaware that a grave crisis was stealthily closing in on him like a predator lurking in the dark. One day, he arrived at a mysterious submarine canyon. Within it, the spiritual energy was so dense it felt like palpable mist, and all manner of rare spiritual plants flourished along the cliffs, radiating an enchanting glow.
Just as Su Yu intended to delve deeper into the canyon to investigate, the entire East Sea was suddenly churned by an invisible giant hand, causing the waters to heave violently. Startled, Su Yu hurriedly unleashed his divine abilities, struggling to steady himself. He looked up to see the sky choked with dark clouds and lightning flickering within them, as if the apocalypse were imminent.
"What on earth is happening?" Su Yu muttered to himself.
At that moment, a thunderous voice boomed from the clouds: "Su Yu, your audacity knows no bounds! You dare harm my Dragon Clan kin? Today is the day you die!"
Su Yu focused his gaze and saw the Four Seas Dragon Kings leading a vast army of the Dragon Clan before him. Countless dragon warriors, wielding sharp weapons and exuding murderous intent, surrounded him completely.
Su Yu’s heart sank, yet his face betrayed no fear. A slight smile played on his lips as he remarked, "Oh? Isn’t this the Four Seas Dragon Kings? What’s this—bringing so many henchmen along just to see me off?"
The East Sea Dragon King, Ao Xu, glared with bulging eyes and bellowed, "Hmph! Your end is near, yet you still persist with that sharp tongue! Today, I shall tear you limb from limb to avenge my Dragon Clan kin!"
Su Yu shook his head and said, "Control your temper, Dragon King! Your kin coveted my treasures and attempted to kill me for them; I was merely acting in self-defense. What, does the Dragon Clan expect to bully others while denying them the right to resist?"
The South Sea Dragon King, Ao Li, gave a cold snort. "Sophistry! In this Primordial World, strength is the only truth. If you surrender obediently today, you might just keep your corpse intact."
Su Yu looked up and laughed aloud. "Surrender? I, Su Yu, have never learned how to write those four words! If you want my life, come and take it with your own abilities!"
Facing the overwhelming pressure from the Four Seas Dragon Kings, Su Yu knew this battle would be perilously difficult. The Four Seas Dragon Kings were all Daluo Golden Immortal powerhouses, and their combined strength was terrifying. Yet, he felt no urge to retreat; instead, a burning fighting spirit ignited in his eyes.
"Then let me see just how capable the Dragon Clan of the Four Seas truly is!" Su Yu shouted. His spiritual energy erupted, driving the Chaos Astral Formula to its limit, and golden light burned around his body like flames. He swung the Human-Creating Whip, the tip slicing through the air with a piercing whistle as he launched the first strike at the East Sea Dragon King, Ao Xu.
Seeing this, Ao Xu scoffed. A massive dragon claw shot out, meeting the Human-Creating Whip with the force of an earth-shattering wave. *Bang!* A thunderous impact sent spiritual energy surging everywhere. The sea was churned into waves dozens of feet high, instantly stunning nearby fish and shrimp, which floated to the surface. Su Yu felt a massive force, and his entire body was sent flying back like a cannonball.
Seizing the moment, the South Sea Dragon King, Ao Li, opened his mouth and exhaled a stream of ice-blue dragon breath. Wherever it passed, the seawater froze instantly, forming a vast ice field that spread rapidly toward Su Yu. Su Yu flipped in mid-air, moving like lightning to narrowly dodge the direct impact of the breath. However, the scope of the ice field was so immense that his hem was frozen, restricting his movements.
The West Sea Dragon King, Ao Run, and the North Sea Dragon King, Ao Shun, did not stand idly by. Exchanging a glance, they synchronized their divine abilities. Ao Run manipulated the seawater into countless sharp water spikes that shot at Su Yu from all directions, while Ao Shun summoned a black thundercloud within which electric serpents danced, hurling thick bolts of lightning at him.
Caught in the heavy encirclement, Su Yu felt immense pressure. Yet he remained calm, swinging the Human-Creating Whip to form an impenetrable defense, deflecting the incoming water spikes one by one. Meanwhile, he shifted erratically, dodging the streaks of lightning. Even so, he began to feel overtaxed; several scrapes appeared on his body, and blood stained his clothes.
"Hmph, is that all you’ve got to resist with?" the East Sea Dragon King, Ao Xu, mocked, swinging his claw at Su Yu again. The claw was the size of a small hill, its scales shimmering with a chilling light that seemed capable of shredding everything.
Su Yu’s expression was grave; he knew if he didn't give his all, his life would be forfeit. He took a deep breath, his internal energy surging madly as he prepared his strongest blow. "Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms: The Flying Dragon in the Sky!" Su Yu roared. He raised his right palm, and within it, a massive golden dragon materialized, roaring as it charged at Ao Xu.
Ao Xu dared not underestimate this attack and hurriedly mustered all his spiritual energy to form a solid water curtain in front of him. The golden dragon collided with the curtain, creating a deafening crash that shook the entire East Sea. The curtain wobbled violently, cracking, but it ultimately held. The recoil of the strike caused Su Yu’s blood to surge, and a trace of blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.
"Ha! Overestimating your own strength!" the South Sea Dragon King, Ao Li, laughed. "There is no escape for you today!" With that, he and the other three Dragon Kings combined their efforts, launching an even more violent assault on Su Yu.
Watching the attacks surging in like a tide, Su Yu understood that a direct confrontation would lead only to death. He decided instantly to use his Wind God Legs to escape. "Wind God Legs: The Wind Sweeps the Remains!" Su Yu shouted. His legs moved with lightning speed, creating two cyan wind blades beneath his feet that propelled his body away like an arrow from a bowstring.
The Four Seas Dragon Kings were shocked. "Trying to run? Not so easy!" roared the East Sea Dragon King, Ao Xu, as he and the other three Kings gave chase.
Su Yu gave his all, his speed reaching its limit, leaving a long trail of white spray in the seawater. As he fled, he looked back and taunted, "Dragon Kings, don't waste your energy if you can't catch me! Once I finish my cultivation, I'll be back to settle the score!"
Although the Four Seas Dragon Kings were fast, Su Yu’s Wind God Legs were an incredibly refined movement technique; at full power, he was actually slightly faster than them. Gradually, the distance between them grew.
"How is that brat so fast?" the South Sea Dragon King, Ao Li, said, livid.
"Hmph! Letting him escape—I'm truly unwilling!" the West Sea Dragon King, Ao Run, said through gritted teeth.
The North Sea Dragon King, Ao Shun, shook his head helplessly. "We can't catch him. He must have had some miraculous encounter to possess such an uncanny movement technique. We let him slip away this time, but next time we meet, I shall surely tear him to pieces!"
Su Yu sped away like a streak of light, relying on the finesse of the Wind God Legs to leave the Four Seas Dragon Kings far behind. Only after looking back to ensure no one was following did he heave a long sigh of relief and slow down. By now, he was utterly exhausted, his wounds throbbed with pain, and blood continued to seep out, staining his clothes even deeper red.
"Phew, finally got away from that troublesome bunch," Su Yu muttered to himself, his eyes revealing a hint of the joy of survival. "But these wounds... I need to find a place to properly treat them."
Su Yu pushed his exhausted body to search across the vast East Sea. Before long, a quiet, secluded island came into view. It was not large, surrounded by lush trees, with a clear stream winding through it like a paradise hidden from the world.
"This will do." Su Yu’s lips curled into a faint, satisfied smile as he sped toward the island.
After landing, Su Yu found a secluded cave, intending to heal his wounds in peace.
Dragging his weary body, Su Yu slowly walked into the cave. It was filled with a damp chill, and the walls flickered with faint, phosphorescent light, as if countless eyes were watching him in the dark. He sat on a flat rock and couldn't help but joke to the air, "This place is remote and hidden, sure, but why does it feel so eerie? It isn't hiding some monster, is it?" Once the words were out, he laughed at himself. "I, Su Yu, dared to take on the Four Seas Dragon Kings single-handedly—what kind of monster would I have to fear?"
Su Yu adjusted his posture, took a deep breath, and began to run the Chaos Astral Formula. He closed his eyes, and his internal energy flowed like a thin trickle. The Chaos Astral Formula lived up to its name as a top-tier cultivation technique; as he channeled it, the energy gradually surged and roared, rushing through his meridians like a mighty river.
As the energy flowed, a tingling sensation came from his wounds, as if countless tiny hands were gently soothing the pain. He could clearly feel his torn meridians knitting together and his damaged flesh slowly regenerating.
However, the healing process was not without interruption. Just as Su Yu was immersed in his cultivation, he suddenly felt an icy, sinister aura emanating from the depths of the cave. He snapped his eyes open, looking around warily. "Who’s there? Show yourself!" Su Yu shouted, his voice echoing in the cave.
A black shadow drifted slowly from the depths of the cave, gradually condensing into a vague, humanoid form. The shadow let out an eerie laugh. "It’s been a long time since a living soul came here. I didn't expect one to deliver himself to my doorstep today."
Su Yu focused and saw that it was a ghost that had attained sentience. He couldn't help but relax and mock, "And here I thought it was someone formidable; it’s just a lonely wandering spirit. What, trying to take advantage of my injuries to make a snack out of me?"
The ghost snorted, "Hmph, you brat, you’re so heavily wounded and yet you still have a sharp tongue. Once you’ve fallen into my hands, don't dream of leaving alive." With that, the shadow pounced toward Su Yu.
Su Yu didn't panic. He channeled his energy, and a golden light instantly condensed into a sharp sword in his hand. "Right on time. Let me use you to test if my Chaos Astral Formula has improved." Su Yu said with a smile.
The ghost collided with the golden sword and let out a miserable shriek, retreating rapidly. "You... how do you still have such power?" the ghost asked in terror.
Su Yu put away the sword and said dismissively, "You think you can harm me? Get lost, or I’ll blast your soul into nothingness."
Seeing that the situation was dire, the ghost turned into a wisp of black smoke and vanished into the depths of the cave. Su Yu watched the direction the ghost had fled and laughed, "What a blind fool, not even knowing who he was messing with."
After driving the ghost away, Su Yu closed his eyes again, devoting himself entirely to healing. Time passed, and his wounds continued to improve. He could feel that his strength had even gained a subtle boost during this recovery process.
After who knows how long, Su Yu finally opened his eyes slowly. He stood up, stretched his limbs, and felt filled with strength. "Haha, this injury was a blessing in disguise; my strength has actually improved."
