After seeing off Goddess Nuwa, Su Yu knew full well that the development of the Human Race could not be delayed. Looking at his vibrant yet somewhat naive clansmen, he became determined to help them grow strong as quickly as possible.
Su Yu cleared his throat and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Listen up, everyone! We have the protection of Goddess Nuwa now, but we can't just sit around and wait for our resources to run out. Men, head outside the valley to hunt and bring back some fresh meat. Remember, don't be reckless; if you run into anything you can't handle, run back and call for me immediately. Women, you are responsible for gathering wild fruits around the valley and seeing if any can be used as medicine. Who knows, we might even be able to practice alchemy in the future!"
A sturdy young man jumped out, his face full of excitement, and asked loudly, "Brother Yu, if we encounter powerful primordial beasts, can we use the Human-Creating Whip?"
Su Yu patted the Human-Creating Whip at his waist and joked with a smile, "You lad, this Human-Creating Whip is a treasure—you can't just use it whenever you like. Besides, if you can't even handle ordinary wild beasts, how are you going to survive in this Primordial World? When you truly can't handle a situation, I’ll bring the whip and clean up the mess for you." Everyone burst into laughter, then went off to carry out his orders.
Watching his clansmen disperse, Su Yu finally turned and walked into a cave deep within the valley. The cave was deep and dim, permeated with a faint spiritual aura, and the walls were studded with fluorescent stones that emitted a soft glow. Su Yu found a flat rock to sit on and took out the Lingxiao Jade. At this moment, the jade appeared warm and mysterious, shimmering with a strange luster in the cave's dim light.
"Old friend, it's time we studied you properly. Just how many secrets are you hiding?" Su Yu muttered to himself while gently stroking the Lingxiao Jade.
The moment his fingers touched the jade, a strange force surged into his body. Suddenly, the Lingxiao Jade shone brilliantly, and countless golden runes drifted out from it, suspended in mid-air and radiating an ancient, mysterious aura. Su Yu widened his eyes, staring intently at the runes as they intertwined and gradually formed images before his eyes.
In the images, martial artists in ancient garb displayed astonishing martial arts in various strange settings. Some leaped across cliffs as if walking on flat ground; others stood unmoving amidst surging waves, swords dancing and flashing with brilliance; still others battled giant beasts in the midst of a blizzard, their punches and kicks imbued with tremendous power.
Su Yu was stunned, his heart racing with excitement. "My god, these martial arts are simply incredible!" As the images continued to cycle, Su Yu realized that these arts encompassed the essence of every era, from the most ancient Taiji Bagua Palm to the later Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms and Dugu Nine Swords; everything was there.
Su Yu watched, whispering to himself, "No wonder I always felt this Lingxiao Jade wasn't simple. It’s a treasure of the Martial Dao!" Suddenly, the scene shifted to an apocalyptic landscape. The world was gray and dim, spiritual energy had dissipated, and all things were withering. Martial artists struggled in vain, their strength severely diminished without the support of spiritual energy.
Su Yu frowned, a realization dawning on him. Sure enough, the Lingxiao Jade appeared in the vision, emitting a faint light amidst the desolation, carrying Su Yu’s soul as it tore through the fabric of space and arrived in this lush, spirit-rich Primordial World.
"So that’s it. My previous world entered the Age of Dharma Decline, with no spiritual energy left, so you brought me here to find a new path to survival. And these many martial arts have evolved—they are no longer mere mortal techniques, but immortal martial skills." Su Yu spoke to the Lingxiao Jade as if it could understand him.
Su Yu stood up excitedly, pacing back and forth in the cave. "This is a goldmine! With these martial arts, plus the abundant spiritual energy of this Primordial World, I will definitely make the Human Race the masters of the Primordial World!"
He couldn't wait to begin studying these martial arts. The first to catch his eye was a technique called the "Chaos Astral Formula." The introduction stated that to cultivate this formula, one must absorb the power of the stars and integrate it into oneself, thereby opening up one's own internal universe. The path of the "Chaos Astral Formula" was difficult and long, divided into many realms, with each breakthrough representing a leap in power. The initial level was the Mortal Realm; those at this level were mere mortals who could only mobilize a sliver of weak spiritual energy, barely capable of self-preservation in the Primordial World. Upon reaching the Earth Immortal realm, one’s internal spiritual energy would grow, allowing for the use of simple spells, easily capable of splitting mountains and shattering rocks, barely earning a foothold in the Primordial World, which was filled with powerful beings.
Su Yu was completely immersed, following the exquisite guidance of the technique and cautiously circulating his internal spiritual energy, attempting to establish a close connection with the star power of the outside world. He held his breath, calmed his mind, and extended his perception like a thread, trying to capture the vast power contained in the stars twinkling in the distant firmament. At first, the process was incredibly difficult; the star power was like a mischievous sprite, repeatedly slipping away from his perception. But the indomitable spirit deep in Su Yu's bones was fully ignited, and he tried and adjusted again and again.
After much mental exertion, Su Yu finally felt the first strand of star power slowly merge into his body. At that moment, his body trembled slightly, as if it had achieved a subtle resonance with the vast universe. From then on, he worked day and night, immersing himself in this arduous practice. Each time he absorbed a bit of star power, the spiritual energy in his body became more solid, and his meridians grew tougher under the tempering of this powerful force.
As his cultivation continued, Su Yu advanced steadily, eventually succeeding in breaking through to the Heavenly Immortal realm. At this point, the spiritual energy around him seemed to materialize; with a mere wave of his sleeve, he could stir up howling winds, and the space around him rippled due to the surging power within his body. A starlike light flickered in his eyes. Not only had his strength greatly increased, but his understanding of the "Chaos Astral Formula" had deepened, allowing him a glimpse into even higher realms. The higher stages—Taiyi Golden Immortal, Daluo Golden Immortal, and even Hunyuan Golden Immortal, Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal (Sage), Hunyuan Taiji Golden Immortal (Heavenly Dao Realm), and Chaos Wuji Golden Immortal (Great Dao level)—were like brilliant stars hanging high, beckoning him to keep striving and climb toward the peak of the Primordial World.
Having been in seclusion in the cave for a long time, Su Yu successfully broke through to the Heavenly Immortal realm, his aura becoming more and more powerful, as if he had reached a deeper level of resonance with the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. He looked at his hands with satisfaction, feeling the surging power within, and the corners of his mouth lifted involuntarily. "This 'Chaos Astral Formula' is truly powerful. At this rate, it won't be long before I can lead the Human Race to roam the Primordial World unopposed!"
