Along the walls, eerie green flames flickered, their wavering light casting long, grotesque shadows of the figures gathered there. Upon hearing the arrogant words of the Demon race envoy, Gonggong flew into a rage. A surge of fury rushed from the soles of his feet to the top of his head, his blood boiling in an instant. His face turned as red as a ripe tomato, and the veins on his forehead bulged and twisted like earthworms. He stomped his feet and roared, "Cut the crap! My Wu Clan has stood tall between heaven and earth since the great Pangu cleaved the world asunder. We would never bow to a bunch of shameless wretches like your Demon race! Thinking you can make us submit is nothing but a daydream—a delusional fantasy! If you’ve got the guts, try it. The envoy’s face flashed with a sinister cruelty; his gaze was like a venomous snake hidden in the dark, coiled to strike.
