Chapter 1

Japan, Tokyo. Night.
A young mother was running through the pouring rain, clutching her baby who was not yet a year old, tears streaming down her face. Just moments before, her husband had stayed behind to buy them time, and his fate was still unknown.
The young mother's breathing was ragged, her gaze growing increasingly fierce as she harbored dark thoughts. She never expected the BSY Organization to be so ruthless, refusing to send anyone to rescue them. She hated them so much. After all the grueling years she had spent researching drugs for the organization, this was the devastating result: her family torn apart.
The young mother stopped, leaning against a corner of a wall to catch her breath.
Her real name was Akihara Yuhuan, and she had originally been a researcher for the BSY Organization. Today, however, they had been ambushed by enemies, and she had risked her life to escape.
Akihara Yuhuan looked around her surroundings. The houses nearby were lit up, and an orphanage stood ahead, with no other shops in the vicinity.
Akihara Yuhuan made up her mind. She wanted to go back and search for her husband; even if she died, she would die together with him. But then she looked down at the baby wrapped in clothes in her arms... She felt so sorry for him. She hadn't been able to provide him with a warm, healthy home.
Akihara Yuhuan gently kissed the baby's cheek. The child in her arms did not cry or make a fuss; with eyes as blue as the sea, he quietly gazed up at his mother.
After the kiss, Akihara Yuhuan looked into her child's eyes. The baby had inherited her pink hair. After a long, silent pause, she spoke.
"Xiaoxing, Mom isn't abandoning you. Mom and Dad are going to a very distant world and cannot take you with us."
Tears streamed uncontrollably down her face.
It was as if the baby in her arms shared a telepathic connection with her; he reached out his tiny hand, trying to wipe away his mother's tears, but his little arm couldn't reach.
Seeing the baby do this, Akihara Yuhuan let out a soft laugh—likely the last laugh she would ever have.
Yet she felt no fear, only a calm acceptance of this damned fate.
She walked up to the entrance of the orphanage.
With grim determination, she continued speaking.
"I don't know if you can understand what I'm saying. If you grow up, go and avenge us! Will you? I know this is a bit cruel to you, but if you forget when you get older, it doesn't matter. Mom won't blame you."
Akihara Yuhuan fixed her gaze on the child in her arms.
The baby seemed to sense that his mother deeply hated those people. Although he had already walked this path once in his past life, walking it again didn't matter at all; he would treat it as repaying his parents for the gift of life. The baby nodded.
Akihara Yuhuan felt a sense of release, repeating "thank you" under her breath.
Ever since the child was born, she had felt he was different from other babies. He was exceptionally smart, and seemed able to understand everything they said.
"Thank you. I have left a gift for you in the future, and I believe you will find it useful one day."
With that, Akihara Yuhuan set the baby down a little ways in front of the orphanage entrance to prevent anyone coming out from accidentally stepping on him.
Akihara Yuhuan knocked hard on the door, then turned and left. Late at night, everyone in the neighborhood was already asleep.
"Who is it?"
A middle-aged woman heard the knocking, came out, and opened the door. Looking around and seeing no one, she was about to close the door when she noticed the baby on the ground. The woman's expression remained rather calm, as if she were used to it—it seemed she frequently saw babies left at the orphanage.
"Sigh, another poor little thing, abandoned by his parents at such a tender age. He's actually quite good-looking. Could this be a little girl? He kind of looks like one."
With that pink hair, it was hard not to misunderstand.
The woman scooped up the baby and walked inside the orphanage. However, she noticed a tag hanging around the baby's neck. It had two sides: one side bore the name Shisei Chitose, and the other had a string of numbers that appeared to be a birthdate—February 16th. That was three months ago, and it was now May.
The baby in her arms was exceptionally quiet. He seemed far too calm; weren't babies supposed to cry when abandoned by their own parents? The woman had seen plenty of such scenes, but she had never encountered a baby who neither cried nor made a fuss.Without overthinking it, the aunt simply figured this was just a rather unusual child and carried him off to see the director.
After conferring with the director, they decided to let the child stay and raise him gradually, figuring that eventually someone might come along and adopt him.
Just like that, a brief three years passed. Shisei Chitose possessed a naturally cold demeanor, and his speech carried a sharp, stinging edge that tended to pierce people straight to the heart. Consequently, the other children in the orphanage generally avoided playing with him. Shisei Chitose would simply sit quietly in a chair, eating when it was time for meals, sometimes remaining seated for an entire day while lost in thought, though no one knew what he was pondering.
Finally, one day, a child two years older than him tried to bully Shisei Chitose. Shisei Chitose fought back. Even in the form of a child, no ordinary person was a match for him; he very easily subdued the boy who was somewhat taller than himself.
Shisei Chitose felt that this world was not as simple as it seemed—he apparently possessed supernatural abilities. In his past life, he had possessed no such abilities, and moreover, this body was terrifyingly more powerful than his past self had been, to the point where no words could possibly describe the sheer magnitude of this physical talent.Later, he got into a fight with a group of children. Just as he was about to subdue them, one of the kids pushed him down from the second floor, causing him to hit his head and lose his memory.
After his injuries healed, no one dared to bully him anymore; instead, they simply isolated him. Shisei Chitose still maintained his usual icy demeanor, though occasionally, when someone mentioned something that surprised him, a different expression would cross his face.
Shisei Chitose seemed to sense that they thought he was strange. Later on, the director arranged for him to be transferred to another orphanage. Knowing that he might have been a bit too aloof, Shisei Chitose began learning to disguise his personality once he arrived at the new place, figuring that as long as no one called him out on it, he could pass as a normal person.
In the blink of an eye, time flew by, and two years passed just like that.
A middle-aged man in his thirties, tall and quite robust, wearing a light red suit, walked over to Shisei Chitose and slowly sat down beside him to watch him eat.
Noticing the visitor, Shisei Chitose swallowed the food in his mouth and asked, "Can I help you?"
His tone was completely detached. The man began to introduce himself. He reached out to adjust his tie and said, "I am Miyano Zexiu. I intend to adopt you. Would you like to come home with me?"
Shisei Chitose's expression remained calm, his heart undisturbed.
*[Home? Do I really deserve to have a home?]*
Shisei Chitose shook his head and said, "What benefits can you bring me?"
Miyano Zexiu had initially thought Shisei Chitose was refusing, but hearing the latter part, his expression turned excited, and without a second's hesitation, he blurted out: "I have money. I can teach you swordsmanship and tennis. I can buy you whatever you want. And, by the way, I can give you even more love."
"Love? What is that? Can you eat it?"
Shisei Chitose was a bit curious; no one had ever spoken to him about what love was.
Miyano Zexiu seemed amused by Shisei Chitose's remark, covering his mouth as he laughed uncontrollably.
"What are you laughing at? You're so strange."
After Shisei Chitose finished eating, Miyano Zexiu finally stopped laughing.
"Love is an emotion. It represents a deep and sincere feeling for a person or thing, a very profound affection..."
"I don't understand. It sounds so complicated. Simply put, love is just treating the person you like well, right?"
"That's right, too..."
"Mister, what you're saying is so interesting. I can go home with you, but if you stop loving me in the future, I'll take back my love for you and quietly walk away. You have to accept this condition."
"Very well, how could I ever stop loving you? Hahaha."
Miyano Zexiu reached out and pinched Shisei Chitose's little cheek. Those eyes of his were truly breathtaking.
"Stop pinching, it hurts."
"Haha, let's go. I'm taking you home."
Miyano Zexiu picked up Shisei Chitose and went to find the director to handle the paperwork. Along the way, Shisei Chitose asked Miyano Zexiu to put him down. He could walk on his own. Shisei Chitose was very happy today.
In truth, Miyano Zexiu had merely wanted to find a disciple to inherit his swordsmanship. He never expected to encounter a child with the Lucky Divine Body here—he had truly struck gold.
