He walked down the long corridor, the cold white light falling upon his chiseled features without stirring a flicker of emotion. Not a single wrinkle marred his black uniform; he appeared less like a human being than a construct of something else entirely. The observation screens along the hallway distorted briefly as he passed. To him, the joys and sorrows of a billion worlds were nothing more than fleeting static. He possessed no pity, no hesitation; he was merely an extension of the law, the sharpest blade of the Main God’s will. When he stopped before a door inlaid with gilded patterns, his long, pale fingers hovered for a moment before he pushed it open.
