The protagonist had just escaped from the villain’s base, and the noise from breaking through the gate had attracted the zombies, who had now surrounded the truck. The protagonist had tried to ram through, but the sheer number of zombies had blocked their path. The truck had been lifted because the protagonist had been driving too fast and had run over several zombies.
