Ming Li wandered through the various worlds, slowly learning how to be human. At first, she felt that if she were to jump, she would simply jump; it didn't matter. She felt indifferent to everything. Because she possessed no divinity, her nature was impenetrable; whatever people around her said was like wind passing by her ears, and she had no particular preferences. Now, however, she had developed preferences and a temperament—though it was somewhat prickly and cold, focused only on those immediately before her. Beyond that, her indifference toward the Sanitu River had shifted into annoyance.
