"Poison Man" was a forbidden topic in the martial arts world a dozen years ago. Back then, a cult known as the Changsheng Cult, comprised mostly of alchemists and poison masters, specialized in cultivating Poison Men. They would harvest the flesh and blood of these beings to push the limits of their own physical forms in pursuit of immortality. Because their cultivation techniques were so bizarre and their following so vast, this sect enjoyed a period of immense power that few righteous sects dared to challenge directly.
It was not until the cult wiped out a mid-sized faction to acquire fresh "raw materials" for their Poison Men that the martial arts world finally realized the danger and united to eradicate them. Even with superior numbers, the Changsheng Cult left a lasting trauma on that generation; they fought with such brutal efficiency that they often traded lives at a ratio of one to three. Consequently, when the cult’s wicked manuals were eventually destroyed, the survivors took extreme precautions.
Yet, in the last two years, "Poison Men" have begun to appear again. It was clear that not everything had been burned away; someone had touched things that should have remained buried.
