Although it was only a municipal museum, the collection of cultural relics at the Rong Museum was quite extensive. Aside from the gold, bronze, and silver artifacts from various dynasties excavated locally, the museum possessed a rich array of local opera-related items, calligraphy, paintings, and ceramic collections.
Li Youzhi's idea was to select some of the most representative artifacts, personify them, and stage a flash mob-style performance to welcome the arrival of three equally personified Tang Dynasty pottery figures into the Rong Museum.
