Lin Chen stood calmly and steadily in the arena of the Martial Arts Tournament, where the brilliant sunlight poured down, outlining a dazzling golden rim around his figure. This was the first momentous and significant challenge of his reborn life, and his heart was filled with both the burning warmth of anticipation and absolute certainty.
The surrounding spectator stands were packed to capacity, and the people's cheers were like rolling, continuous giant waves, one after another, echoing thunderously throughout the arena. Their gazes were focused intently on the arena like spotlights, filled with ardent anticipation for the wonderful duel about to unfold.
Lin Chen's opponent was Qin Hao, a man who was tall and stalwart, with muscles as solid as an unbreakable chunk of iron, each muscle seeming to contain astonishing and explosive power. His bright and spirited eyes revealed peerless confidence and a burning, fanatical fighting spirit, as if he had already firmly grasped victory in the palm of his hand.
"Lin Chen, today I'll let you know my true power!" Qin Hao's voice was like a booming bell, and his deafening roar echoed over the arena for a long time, intensifying the already tense atmosphere.
Lin Chen smiled faintly, his expression composed and calm. "Show me what you've got!" His voice was not loud, but it carried the weight of a thousand jun, revealing an unshakeable belief.
The bell signaling the start of the match rang out loudly, resembling the stirring horn of battle. Qin Hao's figure dashed out like lightning, instantly charging toward Lin Chen. As his arms swung, they whipped up an extremely fierce gale from his fists; the wind whistled past, and the air was compressed by this powerful force into a sharp, piercing shriek. Lin Chen was unhurried, his footwork as light as the wind. With a slight side step, he cleverly dodged this fierce and matchless blow by a hair's breadth.
Seeing his strike miss, Qin Hao was undiscouraged and immediately followed up with a flurry of punch techniques. His fists were like shooting stars chasing the moon, swift and dense, each punch carrying the sound of rushing wind with an imposing momentum that chilled the heart. Lin Chen responded with composure, his figure moving like a light willow catkin in the wind, swaying with it and skillfully dodging Qin Hao's storm-like attacks. His gaze was sharp and focused, and while dodging, he calmly searched for the perfect opportunity to counterattack.
"Hmph, all you do is dodge!" A flash of annoyance crossed Qin Hao's face. His attacks grew even more ferocious, every single punch delivered with full force, as if he intended to crush Lin Chen in one fell swoop. At that moment, the ground of the arena trembled slightly under his fierce onslaught, kicking up clouds of dust.
Seizing the moment just as Qin Hao's momentum was exhausted and his power slackened slightly, Lin Chen struck out fiercely. His fist was like a cannonball fired from a barrel, precisely striking Qin Hao's vulnerability. Feeling the pain, Qin Hao involuntarily stumbled back a few steps, a look of agony and surprise crossing his face as beads of fine sweat instantly beaded on his forehead.
"This is only the beginning!" Lin Chen's voice was steady and powerful, carrying an invisible sense of oppression, as if declaring that the initiative of the battle was firmly in his control.
Qin Hao took a deep breath, quickly steadying his stance and adjusting his breathing. A fierce glint flashed in his eyes, and he charged forward once more like a ferocious tiger. The two exchanged blows, fists and palms meeting, their figures interweaving as they fought to a standstill. Every collision emitted a dull thud, like a heavy hammer striking the earth, causing the surrounding air to ripple slightly.
Lin Chen felt the spiritual qi, recultivated after his rebirth, flowing smoothly through his meridians. That familiar and formidable power filled him with renewed confidence. Every move he made came more naturally, every action flowing smoothly as if he had merged with heaven and earth. At this moment, the breeze around the arena seemed to echo his rhythm, gently brushing against the hem of his clothes.
Suddenly, Qin Hao leaped high into the air, executing his ultimate technique, Thunderous Kick, mid-air. His legs lashed out toward Lin Chen like a driving rain and fierce wind, the overlapping shadows of his kicks dazzling and making it hard to distinguish the true from the false. The wind of his kicks whistled, actually whipping the surrounding dust into a small vortex.
Lin Chen's gaze narrowed. He crossed his arms swiftly, and the spiritual qi within his body surged like a tidal wave, instantly channeling his entire store of spiritual qi to form an indestructible protective shield.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Qin Hao's kicks struck the protective shield, producing a series of dull and loud echoes like war drums being beaten in rapid succession. Every impact burst forth with a dazzling radiance that dazzled the eyes.
Seizing the moment when Qin Hao's strength was spent, a sharp gleam flashed in Lin Chen's eyes, and he launched an instant counterattack. His body shot forward like an arrow released from a bow, and a heavy punch accompanied by whistling wind smashed toward Qin Hao's chest with the crushing force of Mount Tai.
Unable to dodge in time, Qin Hao was driven back repeatedly by this immensely powerful punch. His steps were unsteady, and he could barely keep his balance. His back crashed heavily against the railing at the edge of the arena, and the railing emitted a startling creaking sound.
"I won't lose!" Qin Hao roared, his voice filled with unwillingness and stubbornness. Gritting his teeth once more, he lunged forward with all his might, the fires of indomitable spirit burning in his eyes. Every step he took left deep footprints on the arena floor, demonstrating his resolve to burn his boats.
However, by this time Lin Chen had completely seized the upper hand. His moves grew increasingly fierce, every punch and kick imbued with formidable power and exquisite technique. Under his onslaught, Qin Hao was reduced to parrying blows with no power to fight back. Every single attack from Lin Chen was as overwhelming as a thunderbolt, making it impossible for Qin Hao to withstand.
In the end, Lin Chen used a tremendously fierce palm wind to knock Qin Hao to the ground with the force of a collapsing mountain and a sweeping ocean. Qin Hao crashed heavily onto the arena floor, kicking up a cloud of dust that blotted out the sky.
"Lin Chen wins!" The referee's voice was high-pitched and passionate, echoing throughout the entire arena. The voice reverberated through the valley, as if proclaiming the outcome of this fierce battle to the world.
Lin Chen stood in the center of the arena, the sunlight spilling over him. He tilted his head back slightly, closed his eyes, and indulged fully in this victorious moment. A gentle breeze swept past, causing his hair to drift softly. He knew deeply that this was merely a tiny starting point on his path of rebirth, with a longer road and even more formidable opponents waiting for him to conquer in the future...
