The Spring Festival Gala was halfway through, and the hands of the clock had slowly slipped past ten o'clock. As they did every year, Uncle and Aunt planned to go to the temple to pray and vie for the first incense offering of the new year. The car radio had just been playing his favorite crosstalk routine; although there were no visuals, he was still listening to it with great enjoyment.
