When Hector groggily opened his eyes, he found himself lying in his own large bed at the Hog's Head. The room's curtains were tightly drawn, and a few faint beams of light filtered through the cracks, hazy and hovering on the edge between dimness and clarity. Hector had no idea how long he had slept, nor whether it was day or night. To be honest, a lingering drowsiness still clouded his mind; had it not been for the fierce protest of his dry throat, he probably would have continued to sleep.
