At 3:30 PM, the young wizards taking the flying class rushed out of the classroom in a swarm and headed toward the outdoor grounds. Compared to Hector's mood, today's weather could be described as truly wonderful. A clear sky paired with a cooling breeze made it an absolute ideal day for riding broomsticks. The flying class was held in an open area—a well-manicured lawn with the Forbidden Forest not far away. Arranged neatly across the grass were two rows, totaling about twenty broomsticks. The broomsticks looked very old, and Harry and Hector had heard from Fred and George that the school's brooms were so ancient that they constantly acted up. Some of them would shudder when they flew too high, as if deeply reluctant to go up into such high altitudes. There were also a couple that veered severely to the left; if left uncontrolled, they would spin you around in circles in the air.
