On the fourth floor, at the end of the corridor, it was still Harry leading the way. With all the buffs fully stacked, where else could this possibly be? It had to be the place where Old Dumbledore was hiding the Sorcerer's Stone.
Although Hector's memory of the original book was no longer very sharp, he still knew about the affair where Old Dumbledore used a Schrödinger's Sorcerer's Stone as bait, making Voldemort throw himself into the trap like a cat smelling fish and feeling an itch all over. If he guessed correctly, this was the first obstacle set up by Dumbledore. Hector turned back and saw a creature with three heads, just like a hellhound, right behind them.
The three-headed dog was unusually large; even while lying down, it practically filled the entire space from floor to ceiling. It had three heads, with the middle one being the largest, bearing three pairs of rolling eyes that were staring right at them at this moment. Beneath those fierce eyes were three noses, along with three half-opened, drooling mouths. It didn't look particularly smart, as it hadn't even reacted immediately to how these four little fellows had suddenly appeared on its turf. Right now, it was narrowing its eyes to size them up, trying hard to snap out of its initial shock. Meanwhile, it involuntarily widened its jaws, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth and an astonishing stench.
