November arrived quickly, and the temperature in the Scottish Highlands plummeted overnight. The entire sky looked gray and overcast, the distant mountains were capped with ice and snow, and the surface of the Black Lake froze solid. Frost on the ground became a daily morning fixture. The young wizards didn't have much of a concrete sense of the weather turning, however, because Hogwarts Castle was surprisingly warm; as long as you stayed within the castle's bounds, robes remained perfectly suitable attire. Life returned to peace. The troll incident lingered as a topic of conversation in the Gryffindor common room for only a short while before the young lions' attention was quickly consumed by the upcoming Quidditch match. Hector was quite pleased that everyone stopped talking about the troll episode. He did not want to be all that famous, even though he already was.
