Exhausted of their curiosity, the young wizards finally could no longer bear the odor inside the cabin and the intensely stifling environment. Hector and the others did not last long in the cabin before bidding farewell to Hagrid in unison. They lined up just as they had when they arrived, walking out of Hagrid's hut one after another toward Hogwarts.
"How can there be so many things happening day in and day out?" Walking along the path, Harry looked up at the sky and sighed. Ron nodded and continued, "Yeah, I really wonder what peaceful and quiet days are actually like."
Contrary to their wishes, the days that followed became even more difficult. Every evening, they found themselves forced to hole up in the library to finish the mountain of homework assigned by their teachers. Hermione had already completed a round of review, and she thoughtfully prepared detailed study schedules for her friends (including Neville, who had joined them later). Hector never expected that Hermione had even made a copy for him. However, it did not look like Hermione was having Hector review first-year coursework; the more Hector looked at it, the more it resembled a preview schedule.
