Chapter 88

1,827 words9 minutes read

Aberforth and his brother Albus Dumbledore woke up around the same time, practically leaving their warm, comfortable beds just as the first light broke. Aberforth usually got up a little earlier than Albus; after all, he still had a family business to run. For Hector, however, getting up at six compared to five-thirty was a completely different league. Five-thirty could count as getting up to use the restroom, as the first moment of waking, or even as still falling asleep, but under no circumstances could it ever count as waking up for the day. When Aberforth woke Hector up, Hector almost felt like he was back in high school for the college entrance examinations. Aberforth rarely had to wake him; Hector could usually sleep until he woke up naturally. Today was an exception, and from the slightly smug expression on Aberforth's face, Hector could easily guess why he was being roused so early.
