The massive altar radiated an eerie light in the darkness. Mysterious runes slithered across its surface like living creatures, emitting a chilling aura that seemed to whisper of ancient, wicked secrets. Su Yao and her companions approached the altar with the utmost caution, each step deliberate, for fear of triggering hidden dangers. "Everyone, be careful. Lin Yu gripped his longsword tightly; the blade trembled slightly, as if resonating with the approaching crisis. Zhao Ya clutched her Spirit Talismans in both hands, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. The tense atmosphere made her breathing rapid and shallow. Just as the group neared the altar, the ground suddenly shook violently, and cracks spread across the floor like a spiderweb. From these fissures, countless malevolent shadows glowing with a ghostly light surged forth. These shadows took various forms—some like ferocious ghouls, others like twisted Monster Beasts—and they lunged toward the group with sharp, piercing screeches.
