Su Yao clutched the mysterious letter. Its edges were a faint, darkened yellow, as if it had been weathered by the passage of time. Outside the window, the night was as black as ink, and the occasional chirping of insects only served to deepen the somber atmosphere within the room. Lin Yu, Zhao Ya, and Lin Wan'er arrived upon hearing the news, and the four sat in a circle, their gazes fixed intently on the letter. "This letter is suspicious. 'Eyes behind the scenes,' 'disaster descending'—what on earth does it mean?" Lin Wan'er asked, her brows knitted as she broke the silence. Zhao Ya reached out to touch the paper. "The paper looks ancient, yet it doesn't have the slightest hint of mold. Someone must have deliberately aged it." Lin Yu pondered for a moment before speaking in a low, grave voice: "Regardless, this is likely a warning. We must be even more cautious in our actions from now on." Su Yao nodded slightly, her fingertips tracing the handwriting on the letter. Suddenly, a faint ripple of spiritual power emanated from the page. Her pupils constricted, and she quickly channeled her own spiritual energy to investigate, discovering an extremely well-hidden spiritual mark embedded within the letter. "This mark could never have been left by an ordinary Cultivator. There is likely a deeper story here," Su Yao murmured to herself, then relayed her discovery to the others.
