"Stop, stop, stop! Keep pinching and you guys can start mourning me."
Hearing Su Can's words, Lü Ge not only didn't stop, but used even more force.
Wang Kai looked at Su Can with utter disdain. "Well, aren't you something else, buddy? Acting all deeply emotional in public, yet secretly knowing a beauty and not even introducing her to your bros."
Liu Ran, standing beside them, also nodded, looking the picture of someone betrayed by a lack of loyalty.
Su Can broke free from Lü Ge's grip, sat down on the bed, and said with a helpless expression, "Would you guys believe me if I said I didn't even know Chu Youwei was that pretty before?"
Hearing this, the three of them shook their heads in unison.
To be honest, Su Can wasn't actually lying to them. Before his rebirth, he really didn't know. Beneath that curtain of long hair lay a breathtaking face, yet even before his rebirth, the two of them had never had much interaction.
"You've betrayed the revolution! Tell us how you're going to compensate us!"
Liu Ran nodded. "You betrayed the revolution. Compensation is a must."
Su Can held up one finger. "Tomorrow's breakfast is on me."
"You think a single breakfast is gonna send us away? Not enough!"
"Two meals," Su Can hastily added before the three of them could refuse. "Delivered right to you, brought straight to your mouths."
As soon as those words fell, all three dropped to their knees in unison: "Please accept the bow of your humble sons, adoptive father!"
Wang Kai was the eldest in the dorm, a standard robust guy from the Northeast. Despite his rough-and-tumble appearance, he was majoring in pharmacy. He had a girlfriend he'd known since elementary school whom he had been dating all the way to university, and she was majoring in pharmacy just like him.
Liu Ran was ranked third by grade, and his hometown near the border was a great place for wild mushrooms. His family used to be comfortably well-off until one day the whole family ate the wrong kind of mushrooms and ended up flat on their backs; after medical bills, they were poor. But Liu Ran had grit, successfully entering university ranked second in the whole school and securing a full scholarship. He was also a computer technology wizard, and in his past life before rebirth, he had even risen to the position of a Tencent executive.
As for Lü Ge, the fourth brother needed almost no introduction: a bouncy local native who was ridiculously wealthy and worked in the legal profession, set to inherit tens of millions upon graduation. Unlike other dormitories, the four of them not only kept in close contact after graduation, but were as close as brothers.
Just as the four of them were fooling around, a crisp, pleasant sound rang out.
Any man would be more than familiar with that sound: it was the sound of finding teammates in League of Legends.
Hearing the sound, the three of them made a dash for the computer and eagerly clicked accept.
Su Can lay on the bed, deep in thought about his next steps. Though he knew that in two months five million would safely be in his pocket, the flap of a butterfly's wings could trigger a tornado on the other side of Blue Star. Su Can couldn't guarantee whether the fluttering of his reborn wings would cause world-shaking changes, and besides, he couldn't just sit around doing nothing for these two months.
Just as Su Can was thinking, *Bang!*
A loud crash snapped Su Can back from his thoughts.
He saw Lü Ge staring intently at the screen, continuously sending warm regards to his teammates' family members. His colorful language filled the entire dorm with the sweet songs of birds and the fragrance of flowers.
"Has this ADC never seen a woman in his life? Acting like a simp so much his brain got licked by a dog too! Stealing my mid lane is one thing, but feeding so many kills—if I don't flame him, who do I flame?"
Wang Kai gently patted Lü Ge's arm. Faced with Wang Kai's reminder, Lü Ge not only didn't tone it down, but the foul language pouring from his mouth became even more intense.
"He probably doesn't even know if the opposite side is a woman! Simping like this, aren't you afraid your tongue's gonna peel raw? I bet this guy won't even afford a decent meal for the rest of his life! Buying ultimate skins for some girl while using the default skin yourself—what are you even flexing for?! Simps deserve no good end."
Actually, Lü Ge was driven mad by anger; his bot lane support was going crazy with kills while the jungler kept handing over triple kills, coming to the bot lane five times until everything completely collapsed. And this was Diamond I promotional matches, so you couldn't really blame Lü Ge for snapping.
After venting, Lü Ge finally felt much better. But the dorm, which had just been full of cheer, was now dead silent.
Wang Kai covered his eyes as if saying, *I can't look, I can't look.* Liu Ran flat-out closed his eyes and slumped over his desk.
Only Lü Ge was oblivious, wearing a look of "what just happened?"
"Boss, what's wrong? Why'd you stop talking?"
Wang Kai looked at Lü Ge speechlessly. Did he dare speak? You had to realize that the biggest simp in the whole school was lying right over there on the bed. You had a great time cursing simps, but the problem was your AOE hit everyone.
Suddenly, Lü Ge remembered something. His body went rigid as he looked toward Su Can.
At this moment, Su Can's lips curled into a smile, his eyes shining so brightly they were practically glowing. Lü Ge's few words had instantly helped him find his direction.
Yet seeing Su Can's manic expression tinged with a hint of excitement, Lü Ge assumed his own words had triggered Su Can, making him tremble all over.
"Old Su, Second Brother didn't mean it. You gotta believe me!"
Su Can got up, walked over to Lü Ge, and gently patted his shoulder.
"Say no more, bro understands. From now on, Lin Shanshan has nothing to do with me, and I won't chase her anymore. Simps deserve no good end."
In an instant, the three of them froze in place, unable to believe what they had just heard.
Wang Kai got up, felt Su Can's forehead, and muttered to himself, "He doesn't have a fever."
Regarding Su Can's pursuit of Lin Shanshan, all three of them had previously voiced their opposition. Lü Ge had even bluntly told Su Can that Lin Shanshan was just playing him for a sucker. But back then, Su Can simply refused to believe it, even getting into a huge argument with Lü Ge over the matter. In the end, the three of them could only helplessly acquiesce. The word "simp" had even become a taboo inside the dorm.
Su Can swatted Wang Kai's hand away. "I don't have a fever. I just figured it out: someone who loves you won't take joy in hurting you, nor will they make demands in the name of love. Lin Shanshan was just treating me like an ATM. Besides..."
Su Can didn't continue. For some reason, Chu Youwei's figure flashed across his mind.
Lü Ge walked up to Su Can with a wicked grin. "What was Old Su saying~? Did you fall for Chu Youwei? Let me tell you, Chu Youwei is definitely a good girl. You two were desk mates for so long, and nobody in the whole school cares about you more than she does."
Wang Kai and Liu Ran also nodded in agreement.
Chu Youwei was virtually invisible at school, but the three of them knew her extremely well because Chu Youwei would frequently message them to ask about Su Can's condition, and would periodically update them on how Su Can was doing in the classroom. Over time, the four of them had grown quite close. Yet none of them had ever imagined that beneath Chu Youwei's lowered, hidden face lay such an angelic visage.
Su Can shook his head. "No! Women will only slow down my money-making speed. Wise men never fall in love."
Hearing Su Can's reply, the three of them shot him a look of disdain, let out a collective scoff, and returned to their stools to sit down with thoroughly unimpressed expressions.
"However—" Su Can smiled slightly.
Hearing that, the three of them instantly perked up their ears. Just as they thought they were about to hear some earth-shattering gossip, Su Can suddenly clammed up.
Wang Kai and Liu Ran were fine—neither of them had impulsive personalities. But Lü Ge couldn't hold back. He rushed straight up to Su Can, looking at him with a wretched grin. "Ever heard the story about how people who only tell half a story get stabbed in the ass?"
