Two people stood in front of Su Can. One was naturally his counselor, and the other was the pot-bellied director. The director put on an official airs and immediately pinned the blame on Su Can. He didn't know what actually happened, but he was certain Su Can was behind it. The director had been holding a grudge over that incident to this very day. He had chased all the way to the police station, only to be completely ignored. They had left him cooling his heels at the precinct all night long. He hadn't even known that the parties involved had reached a private settlement. Su Can said, "I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. The least you could do is tell me what actually happened."
